In 2016 we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of our graduation from Bayless High School class of 66. Little did we realize that past four years, the friends we made ,the times we shared, would help form and transform the person we would become. Some of us made speeches, some of us cried; some of us went out and had a beer down on the back side of the track. What we took away from there was a common bond. A bond to each pursue our lives down different, yet similar paths. Some went on to college many went off to war.
For many years those old friendships lay dormant. Then Face Book and people like Darlene and others started project s to rekindle those old friendships. . We began to become re- acquainted .
Some became successful, some lived everyday lives, some gradually developed a desire to save the world. I'm sure that my total commitment to the Liberal cause has inspired some and alienated others. If I occasionally offend someone I apologize.
The next time we gather together for an event look around you. Be thankful for the sacred society of brothers and sisters that we have become. . Think of those that are no longer here. What would they have thought.
Know that I cherish every one of you.
May the next year and all subsequent years bring you happiness and health. May our group continue to flourish and grow for many years to come
