Sandy, Susan Rogers, Linda Heaven and I were all close friends. We bowled together, ran around together and Linda and I met our husbands on the same night. I was in Sandy's wedding and we would hang out at her and Jerry's apartment when he was at work. I always remember her as being one of the nicest people ever and when she moved to Arkansas we planned to keep in touch. Unfortunately that didn't happen, but we did reconnect during the 50th Reunion. I don't know why, but she never responded to the earlier reunions, and was always listed as 'unable to locate'. We've benn on facebook since last August and she was the same sweet person I always remembered. My heart goes out to her daughter Julie, her husband Jerry and the rest of her family. I met Sandy in Mr. Fontaine's 8th grade homeroom. We became good friends, along with Susan Rogers, and in later years with Linda Heaven and Pat Watson. We sure did have fun together. Unfortunately we didn't keep in touch after she moved to Arkansas; I always hoped she would come to the reunions. Her photo from the obituary looks like Sandy was still the same kind, gentle and content person I remember.

According to her online obituary, Sandra passed away in her sleep, quite unexpectedly, on March 23, 2016
at the age of 69. The funeral service was today, March 29, 2016. "Teach me to number my days."

Linda told me about Sandy on Easter. She was indeed a kind person. We had many classes together. So sad, she was way too young to leave her family.
