Guess I'll kick off this forum with a few early morning thoughts....

As for me.....all things considered.... life has been "a very good year." And I'm thinking of Frank Sinatra's song, of course.

As I viewed the classmates who are no longer with us a few of them were those I knew and shared smiles with back in the sixties.....I'll drink a toast to them tonight.

I knew Cherie Bodine in the sixties and just found her obituary. She died September 17th, 2010. Having had no contact with her since that time I don't know the circumstances of her death. Here's the obituary page from the St. Louis Post Dispatch:

Just wanted to let you know that our sweet friend, Susan Barni passed away in 2005.  When Steve and I found out how sick she was, we flew to Austin to see her one last time.  She died a week later.  She is truly missed.  She has one daughter, Tracy and 3 grandsons.

Tom Seibel died in 1997 at the age of 50.

In high school I knew him well. He was as sharp as a tack with a quick wit and a great sense of humor to match.

Class of 1965 LHS.  I hope that all of you who read this will come to the reunion September 18 and 19.  As my grandma used to say: Time's a-wastin'.

Please make personal contact with anyone you know who has not registered on the site and encourage them to do so.  If they have registered and are on the fence about coming, please encourage them to come.  We liked, loved and made each other miserable for many years, so now's the time to mend a fence, get the last word in, and/or to renew your bonds.  Life is short.

Is anyone in contact with Carol Harris or Keren Riley?  Look at the classmate profiles and see if you know how to contact them or someone else who is not registered on the site.  Thank you and I look forward to seeing all of you in September.

Class of 1965, I just sent in my form and check to Ross--have you? I really hope that everyone who can, will come. All of the events should be fun, but cherry pick the ones that suit you. Your classmates are eager to see and talk to you! Hurry up and let us hear from you! M

Thanks for coming Ted.  We'll have to have lunch with Denny some day and catch up.  He is my new favorite comedian.

Thank you, Ted, for writing just what I was thinking! I echo your sentiments, particularly the ones about Denny's

stellar performance. The reunion was so magical I am afraid to address the memory out loud.

I too echo the big boo yahs.  Denny and I rode motorcycles on Sunday and Monday and had the time of our lives. Denny's big, full lips never disappoint me!

The reunion committee outdid themselves this time.  It was the best ever!  Having been on many of the committees in the past, I know it was a lot of work sprinkled in with a lot of laughs and memories.

A tip of the hat to the committee for their time & work for the 50th reunion.  Many thanks to each of the committee members.  The location and the food was great!  Dennis humor set the mood even higher!  The reunion book sits next to my computer.  Many Thanks!
