School Story

Lived in Webster Groves for 2 years. Went to Plymouth Jr. High for freshman year. My father died the following summer. Went to Webster Groves High for sophomore year before moving to Lindbergh. A few times, I missed the bus and had to walk home to Blueberry Hill on VonTalge Rd. I learned to walk faster from locker to bus. I really didn't get to meet fellow classmates during the 2 years. I was sort of bashful. While at Webster, I once shared a table in science with Darlene Scheid for a semester.

For years after high school, I would have dreams of being back there and not remembering the order of my classes. Then not remembering the location of locker. It looks like that I wasn't the only person on this website with this bad dream.

I just remembered one embarrassing moment at Lindbergh. It happened on the my second day at school. First, Let me explain that while I attended Webster Groves during my Sophomore, we had homeroom every morning. First day of school at Lindbergh, there was a homeroom session first before going to first class. Well, the second day, I went to where I had homeroom. I didn't realize that it was a one time ordeal. When I went in and got seated, I notice that just girls coming in and got a little red in the face and a little nervous. The teacher came up and I explained why I was there and she corrected me and I was out of there in a hurry. That room happened to be the home ec room. It could only happen to me.
