I was so looking forward to seeing Tom again. He was my room mate in College at Mizzou during 1967-68. He did not finish, but instead was drafted into the Marines during Viet Nam. I think of him oftem and have so many memories of our time together. I had no idea that he passed. He will be missed by me and I'm sure so many others. If anyone knows when and how he passed, I would be greatful to know. We lost touch after those years together and I would like to know about his life until his passing.
Tom was a good friend and great guy in high school. Had a brief phone call from him a few years back. I was looking forward to reestablishong contact with him via the 50th.
Tom was my best friend, even though we would go for years without actually getting together. He had a long battle with cancer. I spoke to him the day before he died. He finished his degree in Journalism from Mizzou and started off as a small town newspaper reporter and photographer in the west. He later decided to be a stone mason in Estes Park, CO. He never married and pretty much lead a solitary life with his job and a dog or two most of the time. We talked on the phone every month or so. I think it was good therapy for both of us. I escaped from the stress of life in LA, raising a family and working at an ad agency...including a crappy commute. He told me what happened at the dog park that day.
