In Memory

Peter Geloso VIEW PROFILE

Peter was a retired Colonel with the US Army Corp of Engineers and published several books as well as taught college level courses and was nationally know for his work. My fondest memory of Peter was actually from East Junior High School days when shortly after arriving at school a huge wet Spring snow storm hit and we convinced the Principal, Dr. Benton to allow us to walk home together since the buses weren't going to run. We had light clothing, no gloves or hats, but by the time we got near his home off of St Cyr Road he invited me to just stay at his house because there was almost a foot of snow on the ground. His mother looked at me and said you are staying here for the night and I am making real Italian Pizza. It was my first introduction to a thick pizza with real tomato sauce with lots of garlic and italian sausage. We wound up having a great time and that memory has always remained with me.
