Janet Hoffman

Janet Hoffman

6/21/2024 - Jymme Collins-Bommarito reported on the RGHS Class of 1974:

I am sorry to have to report the death of my very good friend Janet Hoffman. Janet had Parkinson’s and fell a lot. She hit her head on the bathroom sink with her last fall and it gave her a concussion. Janet’s heart stopped on its own while in her hospital bed. She will be cremated and in a few months her husband will bring her remains back home. When plans of a celebration of life are made I will let you know.

Scrolling through the memorials, there are so many names that I don't remember. Either my memory is failing me, or because we had such a big class that there were just so many that I didn't know. I moved out of state the first time four years after graduation, and lived in several states in the last fifty years. I've lost track of many of my friends and classmates a long time before I ever had any internet. :-) z Janet, I actually found again a few years ago here in Alabama. Live a few miles outside of the town that she was calling home. A town of under 9k. Sadly my health isn't great and I never got to meet back up with her but she is one that I've never forgotten, and I guess I never will. I lost an aunt to Parkinsons as well and this fall I'll try to make a small donation in both of their names. Fly high on your new wings Janet, until we meet again!
