Mike lived only a few hundred yards away from me. Over the years of growing, we saw each other all the time; I wish I would have asked him more questions. I can't remember the last time I stood outside his house on his steps; I can't remember what we talked about either, but I do remember. The thing I always wondered about Mike was what kept him from throwing professionally. In elementary when we played Dodge Ball, Mike would through amazingly hard. His arm seemed to be out of joint - in the elbow - and the ball would be thrown seemingly sideways. I have never seen someone throw a ball that hard since. I'm praying for his family and friends.
