Jon Simpson, age 26 of St. Petersburg, died Monday July 24, 2006 at Bayfront Medical Center emergency room as the result of a car accident. He enjoyed basketball, baseball and soccer. He received a bronze medal in track and field at the Sunshine State Games and placed in the junior division of the Suncoast Tarpon Roundup. He was an avid Devil Rays and Tampa Bay Bucs fan. Survivors include a daughter, Jayla Caryn Simpson, two sons, Bryce Anthony Simpson and Taylor David Simpson, his parents, Tony and Marne Simpson, and a sister, Katy Simpson, all of St. Petersburg.
