Heather Dean (Frost)

Make sure they play Slick Rick The Ruler and Rob Base at the reunion!! I think we should all do our hair up real big for Friday night!!
Jen, I found a nice revenge photo of you, but I'm going to be nice and not post it! haha, it's probably not appropriate for posting! I do love the one of you on the horse that u posted, though!

I read in Sunday's paper that Mrs. McDargh passed away last week. Just thought I would share.

Heather, I will be calling you soon about that photo! I am wondering what exactly that is? I do have better ones up my sleeve if you and Ticia push me! LOL (in bikini's at the Jersey Shore) Although, looking back at those they would not be so embarrassing anymore! Love the new one of you and Jeff btw...

Oh, what about the Beastie Boys? Reminds me of when we first started driving...

Susan Leatherwood (Applegate)

Wow...I can't believe that Mrs. McDargh is gone...

I don't remember if anyone from the Class of '89 was in Spanish with me, but I do remember those big necklaces she used to wear!

Someone (usually Andy Law) would ask her about it and we'd spend 1/2 the class hearing about her trip somewhere!

Corie Bell (Parker)

Susan, I think I was in Spanish with you, at least one year. It is sad that she is gone. I remember her walking into class speaking French, instead of Spanish.

Remember reading "Don Quixote"

Michelle Dunfee (Bobo)

Yes, I remember her speaking French instead of Spanish and thinking that I was really behind, because I could not understand anything she said.

Does anyone else remember a bunch of us going to Parkersburg to go roller skating and then on the way home, Eric's car broke down on the highway?

04/21/09 04:41 PM #106

Heather Hill (Leeson)

Yes, I do. I remember being amazed at how big the signs were on the highway. They didn't look that big in the car! I think I was driving too and pulled over after his car broke down?? Sounds familiar anyway.

Mrs. McDargh-it wasn't until after High School until I realized, reading her name in the Athens paper, that she was involved in many community organizations-an interesting person. Funny, I always remember her coordinating outfits that looked like they were from in the 60's when she probably first started teaching...No wonder I don't remember learning spanish, I must of been in class with Ron and others who kept her telling stories the whole time! That's really going to hurt me when I take off on my class-funded trip in August btw.

Corie Bell (Parker)

Jen, you can take me along as a tutor. LOL

04/21/09 07:31 PM #109

Jennifer Curtis (Tate)

Bill, thanks for the laugh! Picture auction, now that's a good one?!?
I am thinking I've had these friends for over 20 years, better not blow it now, they know too much. Ha/Ha/Ha

Corie,
Do you have any photos of your friends in bikini's? We can solicit money from Bill for your ticket too!

04/21/09 09:19 PM #111

Ticia Hart (Jarvis)

Okay that's it I'm digging into my pictures.... I know I have some good ones... I remember Mrs. McDargh with all of her colorful outfits and how I felt sorry for her for having to put up with our class.... Hey does anyone remember Ronnie making a paper airplane and then putting our desks together to make a runway and then ran down them like he was a plane taking off. I think the teacher walked in at that same time. I think we were in 8th grade? I can't believe they left us alone for even just a few minutes....

Corie Bell (Parker)

Hmmmm, Jen, ask Amber, a bunch of us swam at her house, maybe she has some good blackmail pictures.

How about the time the Ron pretended that Shane hit him and Mrs. McDargh sent Shane to the office.

04/22/09 09:38 AM #114

Jennifer Curtis (Tate)

I remember that Michelle! She believed them and she was soooo mad, guys were really playing it up. I remember Ron passing around test answers too. Our poor teachers, can you imagine that being your job everyday, my own kids make me crazy enough!

04/23/09 08:24 AM #115

Michelle Dunfee (Bobo)

Ron - That's right I remember dropping my tests and switching with yours. I might have helped you, but you definitely made Spanish interesting and fun. Being in class with you was always great.
Don't feel bad, I haven't been able to help my kids with homework for several years.

Was there ever a class with Ron, Dave England or Eric Bibee that wasn't fun?
I remember in Algebra with Ms. Jeffers every time the exponent was P Ron would right PeePee as the exponent and she never could read the board and would ask him what it said and he would erase it quickly...LOL you were too much Ron.

Does anyone remember Mr. Stuckey from Middle School? I think he was a sub? I remember all of the girls thinking he was so good looking! He's probably about fifty, or older now...

04/30/09 08:38 AM #119

Michelle Dunfee (Bobo)

What did he teach? I remember the name but can't put a face with it.
Did all of the guys like the one English teacher we had. Can't remember her name.

Corie Bell (Parker)

Jen, wasn't Mr. Stuckey the student teacher of Mrs. Burk. I thought he student taught "Practical Law".
