If it has been a while since you spent time with your friends, old & new, now is the perfect moment to reconnect and create new memories together!
It is time for an Adventure in Green Country and Sequoyah State Park on July 17-19, 2026!
Friday
At 10 am, we will embark on our adventure touring The Cherokee National History Museum, 101 S. Muskogee Ave. in Tahlequah. After the facinating museum, we will depart Tahlequah at 1 pm to meet at The Oak Building of Sequoyah State Park at 1:30 pm for a deli lunch, camaraderie, and mock/cocktails. Bring your own beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Then we will continue our adventure by swimming at the beach, hanging out or touring the park, or taking a dip in the pool before checking in to our cabins/lodge rooms at 4 pm.
Sequoyah State Park has 2,000 Park Acres, 19,900 Lake Acres (Ft. Gibson Lake) , 12 Miles of Nature, Hiking & Bicycle Trails, 9-Hole Golf Course, Driving Range & Putting Green, Golf Pro Shop & Gift Shop, Nature Center, Swim Beach, Swimming Pool, Birding, Fishing, Boating, Basketball, Pickleball, Tennis & Volleyball, Fishing Dock, Boat Ramps and Paradise Cove Marina.
We will meet back at The Oak Building at 6 pm for a Shrimp Boil dinner, more camaraderie, and mock/cocktails. After dinner, you can enjoy a plunge in the pool, take an evening stroll through the park trails, or just hang out. Or, if you’re looking for a different vibe, just 20 minutes away you can visit The Dam Bar in Ft Gibson for live music or try your luck at Cherokee Casino-Ft Gibson.
Saturday
Saturday morning, we will have breakfast between 8:00 am and 9:00 a.m. at The Oak Building.
At 9:00 am Play at Sequoyah State Park.
Cool off at the zero-entry swimming pool in the lodge courtyard or find your place in the sun at a lakeside swim beach. The lodge pool is only open to lodge and cabin guests.
Enjoy the lake by booking a pontoon ($299/4 hr.), aqua bike ($20/hr.), or pedal bike ($20/hr.) from Paradise Cove Marina.
A recreation room, horseshoe pits, pickleball court, tennis court, basketball court, and playgrounds complete our fun time when visiting the park.
The Three Forks Nature Center offers interpretive displays on native flora and 20 fauna. At the Nature Center, guests, young and old can experience native wildlife through the ambassador animal program. Learn more about the ecoregion’s distinct features with nature center staff.
The Sequoyah State Park Golf Course is a nine-hole course with Ultradwarf Bermuda grass greens, tees and fairways, well-placed sand bunkers, and lake views. Facilities include a driving range, a pro shop with carts, club rental, snacks, drinks, and a gift shop. Book a tee time online with the booking link provided. Sequoyah's course is one of the first in the state to offer FlingGolf as an option for course play. Golf course can be contacted by phone or via email at sequoyah.proshop@travelok.com.
Lunch will be available at The Oak Building after 11:30 am.
After a fun day at Sequoyah State Park, we will meet back together at 6:00 p.m. for a Cookout, more camaraderie and mock/cocktails at The Oak Building. Sunday
We will begin Sunday with breakfast at The Oak Building and one last visit to the pool or lake. Unfortunately, Sunday brings an end to our fabulous weekend together. Check out is at 11 am.
Registration
Your registration includes six meals, snacks and our use of the Oak Building on Friday and Saturday. Bring your own beverages, nonalcoholic and alcoholic.
