Kenneth Rex Riemer

Kenneth Rex Riemer, 66, died Tuesday March 5 in Katy, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Grace Church with Senior Pastor Marshall Ford and Pastor Ricky Griffin of Trinity Fellowship in Amarillo officiating. Interment will follow at Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Kenneth was born July 23, 1946 to Hugo Albert Riemer, Jr. and Beatrice Wetsel Riemer in Groom, Texas. He married Sherry Blankenship January 20, 1967 in Stinnett. Kenneth graduated from Stinnett High School in 1964, Sul Ross State University in 1968 and received his Master’s Degree from the University of Nevada in Reno. He loved being a Pampaw to his 5 grandchildren and gave hugs freely to everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents Hugo and Bea.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 46 years Sherry, his daughter Shannon Lane and her husband Justin of Morse, his son Shane Riemer and his wife Cheryl of Amarillo, his two brothers Jimmy Riemer and his wife Janie of Stinnett and Billy Riemer and his wife Linda of Sacramento, California, his five grandchildren Tyler and his wife Katie, Jace, Jaylee, Evan and Rex.
