Douglas C. Brockman, 59, of Ransom, died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2001, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, at Ransom United Methodist Church.  The Rev. Edward Davis will officiate. Music will be provided by Andrea Boggs, organist.  Soloist Dana Aubry will sing "The Lord's Prayer" and "On Eagles Wings."

Burial will be in Allen Cemetery in Ransom.  Servng as pallbearers will be sons Donald, David, and Mark Brockman; Ron Brockman, cousin; James Warwick, nephew; and Tony Baldacci, son-in-law.

Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Hagi Funeral Home.

Born Feb. 8, 1942, in Streator, he was the son of Don Brockman and Isabel Brockman-Waller.  He married Kathleen Warwick on May 26, 1962.  She survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Lore (Mrs. Tony) Baldacci of Algonquin and Lynn Nagle of Streator; sons Donald Brockman of Gainesville, Ga., David (Rhonda) Brockman of Bloomington and Mark Brockman of Ransom; nine grandchildren; sisters, Denise (Mrs. Vernon) Sorenson of Ransom and Donna (Mrs. Earl) Clement of Elblurn; and a brother, Dennis Brockman of Chadds Ford, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He attended Ransom Grade School and graduated from Streator High SChool in 1960.

He worked for Borg Warner as a company driver for 14 years.  He later owned and operated Brockman Trucking in Ransom.

He was a member of Ransom United Methodist Church in Ransom.
