ELGIN — Doris "Ann" Putman, 71, of Elgin, and formerly of Streator, passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 5, at her home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 9., at 10 a.m.
Honorary pallbearer will be grandson, Jarrod. Pallbearers will be sons, Brian Putman and Jim Putman Jr.; brothers, Jeff and Basil Davis; and grandsons, David and Shane Putman.
Doris was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Streator, to Basil "Red" Davis and Alethea (Allen) Davis.
She married James Putman on May 5, 1963. He survives.
Also surviving are sons, James (Shea) Putman Jr., of Crystal Lake, and Brian (Shelly) Putman, of Streator; seven grandchildren, Tom and David Putman, Samantha (Steve) Davis, Jamie, Sarah, Shane Putman and Jarrod; five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Madison, Isabella, Emmalynn, Payton and one due in February; sisters, Marion Craggs, of Bath, Ill., Jeanet Murray, of Streator, Sharon (William) Leonard, of Streator, and Bonnie (Greg) Highland, of La Salle; brothers, Jeffrey (Terri) Davis, of Streator, and Basil Davis Jr., of Elgin; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Paula Boatman.
Doris attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1961. She was of the Methodist faith and retired from Motorola in Schaumburg.
