Classmate Carol Downey (Pellegrine), 73, of Streator passed away Thursday, August 13, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria .Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at Winterrowd Funeral Home. Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Carol was born Jan. 24, 1942, in Odell, to Cyril P. and Mary (Richardson) Downey.

Surviving are daughter, Debbie Martin, of Magnolia; sons, Douglas Pellegrine, of Gordonville, Mo., and Brady (Tracy) Pellegrine, of Marseilles; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley (Dan) Cebulko, of Peoria, Margaret (Paul) Cinnamon Sr., of Montgomery, and Deloris (Ron) Gallick, of Peoria; sister-in-law, Nancy Downey, of Streator; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, James and Leo Downey.

Carol graduated from Streator High School in 1960 and retired from Tele Performance USA in Streator.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Illinois Eye Bank.
