STREATOR — Edward G. "Figs" Finnegan, 69, of Streator, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Streator.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. The rosary will be recited at 6:45 p.m.
Born Oct. 5, 1942, in Streator, he was the son of Thomas and Anna (Kolischan) Finnegan.
He is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Jim) Pavlick of Streator; grandson, Dalton Pavlick; brothers, Francis (Martha) Finnegan of Streator and Jack (Sandy) Finnegan of Ottawa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas Finnegan.
Born and raised in Streator, he attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from Streator High School, Class of 1960.
He worked for many years for Owens-Illinois Glass Company in the mold shop repair.
He was a former member of Immaculate Conception Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.
He was a Third Degree member of Monsignor George A. Dzuryo Knights of Columbus Council 790. He also belonged to the Sandy Ford Sportsman's Club and was a life member of the American Flint Glass Workers Union 85.
