Robert Harsted
May 27, 1942 - February 10, 2016
STREATOR —Robert C. Harsted, 73, of Streator, passed away Wednesday morning, Feb. 10, at his home.
Following cremation, visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Bob was born May 27, 1942, in Streator, to Marvin and Mary (Cooper) Harsted. He married Helen Meyer on June 22, 1963. She survives.
Also surviving are children, Brad Harsted, of Streator, Mindy (Bruce) Park, of Wesley Chapel, Fla., and Kevin (Tammy Bennett) Harsted, of Streator; grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Billy, Joey, Tiffany, Andrew, Alexa, Alex and Jennifer; four great-grandchildren; sister, Harriet Quandt, of Streator; and brothers, Don (MaryLou) Harsted, of Grand Ridge, and Eugene (Pauline) Harsted, of Wenona.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Daloris Harsted.
Bob graduated from Streator High School in 1960 and attended IVCC.
He retired from Owens-Illinois Glass in 2002.
Bob was a member of First United Methodist Church, Streator Moose Lodge and served as past governor. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, camping and collecting cars.
Memorials may be made in his name to either the American Red Cross or OSF Hospice Program.
