Craig W. Irving, 61, of 807 Phillips St., died at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home. The Rev. Tim Hughes, pastor of Central Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be John Olesen, David McDaniel, T.J. Carl, Ted and Pat Promenschenkel and Jerry Mahan. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Born June 2, 1942, in Streator, he was the son of William and Eva (Harlacher) Irving. He married Cindy Jesiolowski on July 25, 1985. She survives. Also surviving are children, Monica (Mrs. David) McDaniel of Robinson, Melissa (Mrs. T.J.) Carl, Ryan (Nicole) Irving, Amanda Irving and Chad Irving, all of Streator; five grandchildren; and a brother, David Irving, Streator.

He graduated from Streator High School in 1960. He retired from Thatcher Glass in 1992 and worked at Kroger until 2000. He was a member of Central Church of Christ and Streator Eagles Aerie #645.

Memorials may be directed to a chairty of the donor’s choice.

Larry Olesen

Craig was such a good guy, and endured much. John Olesen was a true friend during Craig's rough years.

I met Craig in homeroom. He was constantly teasing or joking around. If we had classes together and sat in alphabetical order, we sat near each other. He sat across the aisle from me in study hall, and I always knew he was the one who kept putting thumb tacks on my seat. He always denied it, but he laughed too hard when I would jump up with a yelp.
