I married my "true love" Dave, but unfortunately,"till death do us part" came sooner than we expected (2003).42 great years with him and a gift of 4 beautiful children was what my life has been mostly about since SHS 1960. I was a stay at home Mom, and when the kids were about out of school, I went back to school to become an Occupational Therapist (which I love) and worked in the school district, retiring in 2002. I continue to do a little part-time work at the schools and a local nursing /rehabilitation center. I volunteer at our performing arts center and am active in my church. I've been trying my hand at doing a little traveling. My kids all live in town and are never too old to be "mother"d at times.
Trying to find my way as a single person has been a real challenge, but thanks to this site(and Sharon), I've been reunited with old friends from good old SHS,who are also widowed and we are having a GREAT time!!!!!!
This past year (2009) has been a whirlwind of fun and travel with great friends from 1960 class. Many lunches and tenderloins in Streator, and our POWERFUL PRAYER LINK has pulled through several classmates and their grandbabies in times of crisis---what a group of gals and guys, I'm proud to call FRIENDS.
Our 50th reunion will be a BLAST !!!!!
