Edward Harold Moore, 72, of Pontiac, died at 7:59 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2014, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac, with Pastor Gretchen Stinebaugh officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the funeral home.

Edward was born Nov. 27, 1941, in Streator, to Edward and Mabel (Lawrence) Moore. He married Sandra Prochilo May 10, 1963. She survives in Pontiac.

Also surviving is a son, Anthony (Dawn) Moore, Streator; a daughter, Deborah (David) Fitzsimmons, Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother, Donald (Joyce) Moore, Shorewood; a sister, Barbara Orr, Flanagan; and a grandchild, Rachel A. Fitzsimmons, Corpus Christi, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his special Uncle Harold and Aunt Clara Patterson.

Edward graduated from Streator Township High School in 1960. He served his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Kankakee. He was a carpet installer for 52 years, most recently at Wright’s Furniture in Pontiac.

Edward loved his family, had a passion for ducks and enjoyed playing on the computer. He especially loved his coffee time with all of his close friends.
