STREATOR — Linda Kay Murphy, 69, of Streator, passed away Friday, Oct. 9, at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Shields Sr., Robert Shields Jr., Gary Bressi, Chad Stillwell, Roy Marxs and David Kostman.

She was born Sept. 14, 1940, in Streator, to Gene A. and Montress (Burt) Murphy.

Surviving are her mother, Montress Shields of Streator; brother, Gene H. (Sheila) Murphy of Norfolk, Va.; sister, Sheri (Roy) Marxs of Norfolk; brother, Robert (Sue) Shields of Streator; aunt, June Nanouski of Naplate; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She was a housekeeper for many years and attended Sherman and Greely grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1960. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
