Norman J. Pouk

December 12, 1941 - May 3, 2018

Norman J. Pouk, 76 of Streator passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018, at his home.

Following cremation a visitation will be held Thursday, May 10, from 9:00-10:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church.  Funeral mass will be said Thursday at 10:30 at the church.  Monsignor Philip Halfacre will be officiating.  Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery with full military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.

Norman was born on December 19, 1941 in Streator to Andrew and Catherine (Dzurisin) Pouk.

Surviving are sons Douglas (Emily) Pouk of St. Louis, MO and David Pouk of St. Peters, MO, four grandchildren, Sister Jeanette Kuerth of Pontiac, and brother Ronald Pouk of Iowa and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Frederick.

Norman attended St. Stephen's Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1960.  He enlisted in the US Army during Vietnam and retired from the A&P Grocery and Regis Inventory.  Norman was a member of the Sandyford Sportsman Club where he enjoyed fishing and target shooting.
