STREATOR — Ralph H. Schaumberg, 72, of Streator, passed away Tuesday evening, Oct. 9, at his home.

Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the Streator VFW Post 1492 and the Streator American Legion Post 217.

He was born July 19, 1940, in Eureka, to Robert and Mamie (Estes) Schaumberg. He married Patricia Caldarone on Nov. 11, 1960. She passed away Aug. 14, 1998.

Surviving are sisters, Roberta (Ivars) Bozanovs, of Oglesby, and Rose Mary Schaumberg, of Streator; nephews, David and Robert Goldsmith and Michael Caldarone; and nieces, Emily, Hannah, Jessica and Jennifer Schaumberg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and son, Robert Schaumberg.

Ralph attended Streator High School and served in the Navy. He retired from UPS in Providence, R.I. He was a member of the Streator Bowling Leagues.
