Frederick W. Schmidt

July 24, 1942 - November 22, 2018

Fred Schmidt passed away Thursday, November 22, following a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.  He was the beloved husband of Jeri Schmidt and a loving father of Bradley and Tyler (Miranda).  Fred was also the dear brother of the late Kristie Ryan.  He was also the cherished son of the late Henrietta Biroshik and Hans Schmidt.

Fred proudly served in the US Army and was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany.  He was also a graduate of Southern Illinois University, and was previously employed as an architect.  Fred's passion was art, and he was an accomplished artist.  He was was able to fix, build, and design many things and was always willing to others do the same.  He enjoyed riding his Harley,  Fred will be remembered by those who knew him as a good husband, father, and friend.
