Michael J. Trapp 69, of Streator, died  at 9:15 am Wednesday, January 13 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. .

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m.,  Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, Streator.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at Solon-Teleford Funeral Home, Streator.  The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Streator.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Benjamin and Nathan Price, Christopoher Connelly, Dr. Christian DuBois, and Kevin Christy and a friend, James Lynch.  Honorary pallbearers will be Earl BcBride, Art Dovin, and Danny Liptak.

Born November 22,1940, in Streator, he was the son of Ann and William (Stasinsky) Trapp.

He is survived by sisters, Christine (the late Benjamin) Price of Streator, Mary Ann (the late John A. Blackford of Streator, Patricia (Jerry) Dubois of Galesburg, and Kathleen (Edward) Connelly of Streator; a sister-in-law Linda (the late William) Trapp of Streator, many nieces, nephews, greatnieces and nephews, and a special friend Lucile Cech.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William Trapp Jr,; brothers-in law, Benjamin Price and John Backford; and nephews, Daniel Patrick Trapp and Joseph Edward Connelly.

Born and raised in Streator, he attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from Streator Township High School in 1960.  He worked for the Plumb Hotel while in high school and later worked for Owens-Illinois Glass Company for 38 years, retiring 11 years ago.

He was a member and usher of Immaculate Conception Church, a member of the Eagles Club and formerly a member of the Sandy Ford Sportsman's Club.

Mike enjoyed the outdoors and working in his garden.  His favorite pastime was fishing with his special friend, Lucile, his nephews, Ben and Nathan Price and the late Danny Trapp.  He enjoyed the holidays and celebrating with is family.
