Robert Walters (1942-1999)

Robert Walters, 56, a Streator native, died Sunday, January 17, 1999, at his residence.

His funeral was held  at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 20,  at Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home, Westwood Chapel, Tulsa Oklahoma.  The Rev. Tern Shaw officiated.

Burial was in Sunrise Cemetery, Kellyville, OK.

Born March 22, 1942, in Streator, he was a son of John and Alice Walters.  He married Carolyn Cantrell on October 17, 1979, in Miami, Oklahoma.  She survives.

Also surviving are two sons; two sisters, including Rose Katarich, Streator; a brother, Jack Walters, Streator; three half sistters, including Jenny Echosion, Streator; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was an auditor for Woolworth Corporation for 36 years.
