Nicky was an awesome kid! We folks from Grant School had the privilege of going to grade school with him and enjoying his great smile and laugh. Sweet guy! I remember at my 13th birthday party we played spin the bottle (how original!) at my house and my Dad came out acting gruff and saying (as Nicky spun the bottle and it landed on me) "Who's kissing my daughter??!!!!" It scared the dickens out of Nicky!

Alan had such a great sense of humor--he always made me laugh; however, I'm the one who got in trouble and and he just grinned. Loved that guy!!!

As I write this my heart is sad for I have just finished writing a comment regarding Janet Woodrich who also died during the first couple of years of our starting class..
Janet sat behind me in homeroom and Allan sat alongside of me and words cannot adequately say what my feelings were of them both. Both of them befriended this redheaded kid from the country when I started SHS and knew only a couple of others.
Allan was funny..He always had something funny to say. He always said Hi and with some funny comment and most of all, like Janet I think could tell I was like a fish out of water in the big HS after coming from a small country school grade school and they both went out of their way to make me comfortable...I will never forget them..

Nick is truly the only person I ever saw who laughed so hard milk came out of his nose. It happened in the Northlawn school cafeteria. I don't remember what struck him so funny; but laughter is contagious and all of us around him were laughing too. It was quite a show and we loved it. No one was around him for long with out smiling.
