She was born March 5, 1939, in Easton
To Lawrence and Frankie (Schwartzbaugh) Knuppel

Kay is survived by one sister, Joan Siltman, of Havana; nephew Dennis Siltman of Richmond, Texas; and niece Lori Ann Siltman and great-nephew Max Siltman, both of Houston, Texas. Also surviving are good friends and caregivers Tim and Debbie Urish of Kilbourne.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Melvin Siltman.

Kay was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Streator, Retired Teachers Association, Eastern Star, White Star of Jerusalem, Elks Club, LaSalle Co. Farm Bureau and for 10 years the Chaney Happy Hour 4-H Club in Mason County. She began her teaching career in the Chenoa School District and then taught business and computer classes for 36 years in the Woodland Unit School District 5 in Streator. During her tenure in the Woodland School District, she coached volleyball at the junior high and high school levels.

Memorial contributions may be made to Red Oak Estates Resident Activity Fund.

Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
