Paulette Burris Hill

We relocated from Stuttgart to Mountain Home in 1994. Our oldest son Grant just graduated from Mountain Home High School and will be a Freshman at Ouachita Baptist University in the fall as a Mass Communications major. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout, plays Bass Guitar, Tuba, upright bass, electric and acoutic guitar, and writes music. He managed to get my personality and his Daddy's brains....so he's an interesting young man....real smart, but pretty crazy! Quinn, our baby is 6ft, 250 lbs and will turn 16 in October! He is an outstanding percussionist. He plays quints in the marching band and drum set like crazy! He just finished making a CD with a local group called The Red Suite. See you tube clips below if you're interested. Oh yea, Quinn (being a drummer and all) hasn't had a haircut since he was 5! I've been very active in Band Boosters to support their interests, we all traveled to Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in '06 when our band marched. Quinn did not get my personality, but DID get his Daddy's brains....so he's a smart, calm kid! Hopefully, both of the boys will be able to come to Stuttgart for the reunion (depending on Q's marching schedule and G's social schedule)!!! Grant remember's living in Stuttgart, Quinn does not, he was only 15 months old when we moved. Grant loves coming South and I think his "roots" played a big part in his decision to go to OBU.

I was reading Randall Hula's comments and noticed he mentioned Bonnie Branson. I use my "Ms. Hale" story when I make public speaking engagements to recruit volunteer mentor's. I consider her to be my mentor. I have the front page article that the Daily Leader ran when she died framed in my office....maybe I'll bring it to the reunion for our "memory table" I'll also type in the speech that I give and ya'll can read it if you want. I always get comments about what an outstanding speaker I am and I say...."It's all because of Ms. Bonnie Hale Branson's 8th grade speech class"! Lisa Dodson....remember our Momma and Eunice skit???? Now that was acting! I guess Broadway just didn't think they could handle us???!!!
