Carolyn: Robert Rawls, Kathy Kizzire, and I are cousins. I've e-mailed Robert already to let him know about the site and sent word to Kathy through her mom. Robert is still in Conway and Kathy is still in Stuttgart.

Well, I'm off to New Mexico for two weeks for my Air National Guard annual training. It has been enjoyable reading all of your messages. But once back, I'm off to a family vacation, a remote tactical school, and then a martial arts retreat. At the end of August, I heading WAY south to summer at McMurdo, Antarctica. We're upgrading their satellite linkage for them, so five months in a cold, southern paradise. I can't complain I like the place.

Otis: Well I didn't go into science but I did go into engineering. Hopefully in the next year or so I can finish my mathematics bacholars and engineering major (focused on aerospace).

Ranae: Nope, I have not forgotten anyone from the high school days. I just have spent the past 20 years throwing myself into so many things, half the time I don't know if I'm coming or going. I've got my oldest, Logan-16, up with my ex in Alaska, Zachery-11, and my wife just informed me, she wants a least one if not two more. You throw in there active military, engineering, and writing careers and time vanishes. The wife has her own translator career goals that pull us to travel a lot also. Add in my goals to do a start up small publishing house company, a gunsmithing company, and a hope to settle down some on a working ranch; well I'm likely to just drop dead from enjoying life to much.

Bible Studies: It is interesting reading the various entries on this topic people have made. It reminds me of my in-laws family gatherings. My sister-in-law is a bible scholar focusing on ancient Aramaic and Hebrew, and my mother-in-law is a theologian. Of course, being the only devote Buddhist/Daoist around the table tends to pick me out for special treatment, but I do enjoy the contemplations.

It's been a blast, all of ya'll take care and enjoy the summer. Stay safe and roll easy.

Otis ~ Well, I'm basically the same me with a fun outlook on life. I think kids have a way of doing that. I'm still some business like, I work at a bank, how much more business like can I get. OK, well, Matt is a lawyer I guess. Also, I've gotten over the shy thing. It's great.

Wesley ~ good to hear from you also. Glad your taken care of us all over the world. Can't think of anyone I would rather want to have doing that. You're one of the smartest people ever.

Ranae - so true. Working that much was tough growing up, but now looking back I'm glad to know what work is. I think about my 2 girls growing up and hope they can get a little taste of that.

Hey guys, just wanted to tell everybody hi. I sure do enjoy getting on here reading all of the messages. I saw where Charles Smith got on with my normal employer. That is great. I usually get to teach Spanish at the Troop Schools but that's kind of hard now while i'm in Iraq. Fred it is good to see you on here. Wes, it looks like your going to be freezing your butt off while i'm sweating mine off. My battalion is supposed to be getting 10 of those new MRAP vehicles that have the V shaped hull. That is supposed to make them more resistant to those road side bombs. Anyhow, I may be getting to come home on leave later this month so i'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping that holds true. I can't wait to see everybody at the reunion.

David. Hope everything is going well over there. I'll drink one for you tonight. Me, Lori, Jil and Brent are heading out to Smileys on the lake here in a bit. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hey Everybody
I am back from the beach. I wish I was still there....Jack was screaming all the way home yesterday with swimmers ear, while I was sitting in the front seat nearly in tears over guilt because he kept telling me on Friday that his ear hurt and he had a headache and I just blew him off thinking he was tired. He was up all night and threw up today from the pain, he is doing better now that we have gotten on some medicine. Wow! Please nominate me for mother of the year. We got home around 10 last night only to realize our upstairs air conditioning is not working. UGH! Could I please go back to the beach.

This forum is entertaining me so much. Thanks everybody for joining in. I was so excited to see all the new people.

Scott M. it is so good to hear what has been going on with you. Where and how are your parents?

Anybody have any good tips for keeping swimmers ear at bay. Do I need to put drops in his ear every time we swim now? How will I ever remember that?

Beth - well after a long battle with cancer my Dad passed away about a year ago. He was a BIG man and was able to fight it for about 3 years before it took him. It was so sad to watch and experience that. Mom has moved here to live close to us. She lives just a couple of minutes from our house. So we can take care of her, and of course she can help with the girls, which she just loves. It's great for us having a "babysitter" here that close that we don't have to worry about. But at least Mom is getting to enjoy her retirement even though it wasn't how any of us expected it. Thanks for asking.

Ashley Crosby (Adams)

Scott-I am so so sorry about your dad! I know that was such a tough time. Oh, I know your mother is so comforted living close to you and being with your kids. I love that you did Rev bible study...I want to visit more with you on that. Was it at your church? or Bible study group??

Shevonya-You have been in my prayers for safe traveling and I want to hear about Egypt!!

Hannah-Thank you for posting about my mother. Yes, she is doing better, but a very tough time. Thank you so much. Your baby girl is so pretty and 16?! You should be so proud of her....and I am not sure I could let someone shave my baby boy's head. I guess you have to let go eventually....I will not do well.

Ranae-I was really touched by your post on your son. What a kid...he is such a blessing!!! Also, very thoughtful about helping get classmates to the reunion!

Wesley-Wow...You are one busy guy....God(Jesus) has really blessed you with a really bright mind and a great family!! I hope you keep your heart open to hear from Him. So glad to hear from you.

Good Monday morning everyone....

Wesley, glad to see you are doing well. It comes as no surprise to me, or anyone else for that matter, that you are in the field you are in. Always one of the brightest in our class, I knew you would be successful. It is good to see how you are doing, and be careful out there.

Scott M- Man, I am so sorry about your father. One thing about your family that I look back on is your work ethic. I pray that I teach my kids the way your father taught you guys. Don't you think that at the end of the day being taught how to work actually makes life a little easier? Sounds strange...hmm?

David C- You have to check in more often and let us know all is well there. Tell us more about how it truly is there....living conditions, attitudes of the people there, soldier mentality, etc.... I am so curious about this.

Renae- Is your son going to be playing ball this year? I may have to come watch a game just to see him. What position does he play?

The beach was a blast, but the $4 gas SUCKED. I had to give my Shell card some oxygen...it was huffing and puffing by the time we got back to Conway.

Everyone have a good Monday!

Scott M.
I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I had no idea.
Tell your mom I said hi. Where are all your siblings and how are they doing?

Scott R.
I feel your pain on the gas. I think we probably could have flown and saved money. Where the jelly fish bad for you guys in Alabama? They were horrible in Florida. Roddy went shark diving(sounds crazy to me) and they got stung so many times.

Ranae
I can't believe Logan is graduating. Where is going to school? Sounds like he is a fantastic kid. I'd love to meet him.
I want to meet everyone's kids. Ashley and I were just talking and we really want to have a picnic on the Saturday of our reunion weekend so we can meet them all.
We also agreed that this website is so good for everyone to get to talk BEFORE the reunion...it will make it easier at the reunion to really get to visit....almost as if it has broken the ice for everyone. Don't you agree?

Earlier in this forum we were all telling what our most embarrasing moments were in high school....any of you new guys want to tell us.......

Ashley Crosby (Adams)

If you all recall,(or did not know) when our class came through from 9th grade they warned all the teachers ahead of us that we were a hard class. I remember Mrs. Branson(yes I was a favorite or did will all think that?! HA) said that when we were about to graduate that the teachers were talking in the lounge and said that we were not a hard class, but a very special class and that they loved us. She told me this years after we graduated, and I was really touched by that. The reason I am telling you this, is bc reading all our posts, emails, and visiting on the phone I am really seeing what they saw.

Ranae-I know you have to have some story to tell on yourself. We told stories earlier and they have to be at school...so please think of one girl...

Beth always enjoy our talks!! Want to hear about the Women's retreat when you go.

Hey Scott-Hope you got my message from Rhonda...we will have to work something out. We will be at baby girl's bday party Sat! My daughter is soooo excited.

Beth Carter (Dawson)

I remember when we were in 7th grade, the teachers said we were really an imature class because we collected smurfs. Do some of you remember that? I have to say that I didn't collect them.....oh...., I wanted to, but my mom wouldn't let me. She said that was ridiculous...anyway, I wanted to be cool like some of you were with your smurfs. I bet teachers now only wish that was their only problem with students.....collecting smurfs. I am cracking up.

Shevonya
I keep forgetting to ask you....
what are you going to Egypt for? That sounds like so much fun. I want to hear all about it when you get back.

14/07/08 02:57 PM #343

Scott Robnett

Ashley, got your message. Abigail will be excited E.G. is coming! How is Christopher?

Beth- WHO COLLECTED SMURFS? I never heard that before. Someone is going to catch some crap for collecting smurfs. It was probably Jason, along with beer cans we collected.

Shevonya, I am curious to know why you went to Egypt too. Give us the rundown when you get back.

14/07/08 03:58 PM #344

Beth Carter (Dawson)

Yeah, it was Jason. I think actually YOU were one of the main collectors. What did you do with all of them?

14/07/08 05:02 PM #345

Bethany Lisko (Wood)

Scott Robnett DO NOT play dumb about the SMURFS. I know you remember showing up at my front door(with your mom) with a handful of SMURFS for me. I can't recall how old we were, but I do remember it like it was yesterday. I might still have papa smurf and smurfette somewhere. I'll bring them to you at the reunion, lol.

14/07/08 05:42 PM #346

Beth Carter (Dawson)

Thank you Bethany!!
Scott Robnett you were always the ladies man...even back in 7th grade...bringing Bethany smurfs....how sweet. I hope you always remember though that I was your first love. I think we were boyfriend/girlfriend starting in like the 2nd grade....and it moved into a more serious relationship in the 5th grade when we professed our love for each other by getting the shirts. My mom had saved a "love note" you wrote me in like the 3rd grade (remember Mrs. Brooks) asking me to cheer for you on recess for your team the Superstars....I remember finding the note years later and throwing it away... I wish I still had it.

Hey everyone,
I am going to post my most embarrassing moment since Ashley has renewed the invitation. Now, my wife did not want me to post it so I am going to purposely leave out a few names. I will let those individuals speak up if they want. Here we go -- during high school, there would be times when we would have programs in the Junior High Gym. After one such program during our senior year, we were all walking out of the gym. There were a couple of guys who had a knack for sneaking a feel on girls(YOU SCOUNDRELS KNOW WHO YOU ARE....HA HA HA)in crowded places. Well, a couple of them reached around me (accidentally & partially grabbing ME!) and touched the female in front of me. Well, I was totally shocked as my facial expression bore witness! The female turned around and smacked the living daylights out of me! Everybody started laughing and looking at me like I was the pervert! I remember chasing the female down begging her to believe that it was not me! All I could think of was Paulette breaking up with me for something that I didn't do! Well, in the end the female apologized and stated that she believed me. Oh, by the way, she was Caucasian. My dignity was saved, and Paulette became my wife -- I haven't crossed that line till this day! Maybe that experience FREAKED ME OUT!

14/07/08 07:26 PM #348

Beth Carter (Dawson)

Thanks Otis!! I really want to know who the girl was.

14/07/08 07:58 PM #349

Jason Holt

Whats up Robnett the smurf man. Hope yalls vacation was fun. We are leaving for Gulf Shores this Saturday. Do you have any left over gas money I can borrow? Hey Otis, I think it was probably Scott reaching around and grabbing some ass.

14/07/08 08:18 PM #350

Otis Hogan

Beth - Jason - I told my wife that I would not give out the names, but I can say that neither the girl nor the two guys have chatted with us yet on the forum. The girl and one of the guys have set up their profile. I'll keep begging my wife since she believes that it may be embarrassing for the girl (let her come forward on her own). As for as the guys - I may just spill the beans ....ha ha ha!

14/07/08 08:34 PM #351

Beth Carter (Dawson)

That's okay Otis. Your a good man!! Paulette is right. Maybe the girl will come forward too.

14/07/08 08:50 PM #352

Lori Neighbors (Goodpasture)

BETH - You were asking about the jellyfish in Alabama. We were in Orange Beach the week of July 4. They were pretty bad. However, I have heard that the further east you go, the worse it gets. On the beach and in the surf, we saw about a dozen each day. I went diving (we didn't see any sharks), and a couple of the people got stung on the way down. Of course, once we passed the thermacline, they were gone.

It has been great seeing what everyone is up to.

Have a great summer!
