Otis this is GREAT STUFF! I love that story....how funny is that!! I am cracking up! I forgot people used to do that. I remember the bra popping thing in the 5th grade. That happened every day!!

Also the smurfs thing(Hello Bethany glad you are on line with us!)....yes I was one of the smurf ring leaders with Jil and Shelley for sure....not sure who else?? Just think now in 7th grade they are worried about s-- in the bathroom. Oh how I wish they were playing with smurfs.

Hey to Lori Neighbors! So glad to hear from you.

I know so many of you are just lurking on the site....we want to hear from all of you so jump on and catch up with us!!

Good evening everyone. Wow, the postings are great. It's fun getting to read through all of it. I kinda feel bad reading it at work, but I have sneaked a few hits. It's too hard to stay away. These stories are funny.

Please jump on anyone and everyone and tell us what's going on.

Ashley ~ the study on Revelations was through our Church. It's a men's group that meets at a country restuarant that has a great breakfast menu (you can see where some of my interest is). I still eat like a horse (good thing I grew tall I guess). The study was great. It took us 1/2 year to go through it. Revelation is packed with some great stuff. It used to be fairly intimidating to me, but now at least I understand it better and what John was writing.

Scott R ~ you are exactly right. It's funny how life is. Hard work sure teaches a person how to appreciate what is important in life, among other things. Of course these little kids have a good way of doing that too. I said it before, but I never dreamed that life would be this fulfilling and great. God is awesome.

Beth ~ I'll tell Mom you said hi. And, she is doing great. Stacy is teaching in Magnolia and Jack works for the Oklahoma State Police. Jeffery lives in Cincinnati working in sales and Gerald is a system adminstrator for the UofA.

Lori N ~ good to hear from you.

By the way, this class has made some great looking families, don't ya think everyone?

I remember you being really smart.....so when you reached the thermacline....you lost me!! Anway, my husband said being stung by a jelly fish hurts!!
I'm glad to hear from you girl and glad you had fun at the beach. Your girls are beautiful.

Who was getting their bra popped in 5th grade??? Were we even wearing bra's then?

14/07/08 09:43 PM #356

David C it is good hear from you. I am glad that you are getting a chance to come home soon.
Otis that is a crazy story, I remember sneaking a few grabs back in Jr high, that was like a date back then.

I am getting addicted to this website and reading all of the comments that are being posted everyday. It is also good to see how over all this time people that were cool with each other back then are still cool with each other today. I want to check the site more throughout the day but managing people is sort of like a daycare where I have to keep my eyes on the children at all time.

Do you guys remember how our class was one of the first sophomore classes to when Pep Rallies when we made it to high school? I remember all of those things including the first day we took over the Senior Court Yard. Man those were the days.

Beth-Well I had my bra popped almost every day in 5th grade, so I know I was one of them...How funny is that? They would run up and do it and run off...

Scott-You are too cool to go to meet at breakfast to do your BS. I wish your family lived closer...I would want to hang out with you guys. It is amazing to watch the world and see how some of this is unfolding or being set up for the near future. I keep my eye on Israel and pray for the Jewish people a lot.

Fred-Hey friend....Yes I do remember all those things! I am glad someone is refreshing my memory. It is so great how we are all connecting.

Hannah-I am friends with Kristie Moss (knock'em's wife) and she is a friend of Jennifer Green and we just talked about that story. I thought it was a big deal at the time....Details???? The story about your daughter driving is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok Bethany, what's it gonna take to keep you from talking about the Smurfs? I don't remember that, but there is no telling what other cheesy stuff I did. Sorry for being such a CHEESE.

Beth Carter- You need to zip it too! Jeez, can a guy (or kid in this case) be romantic and it not make the headlines 25 years later? The shirt deal STILL cracks me up. Rhonda thinks that was soooo cheesy (too), so I think I am going to go have one made for her and send it to her work.

No QUESTION Lori was getting her bra popped, probably in 2nd grade. Jason, it was probably YOU that grabbed Otis' butt.

Otis- you know you have to tell who the guys were that were guilty of grabbin'. You can't mention it without telling all.

Ashley- Who started with the Smurf collection? How is your Mom? Shoulder doing ok?

Lori N- We were in Gulf Shores, and I got stung 3 times by jellyfish. We had a good time though, kids loved it.

Holt- The cheapest gas I found was in Richland, Ms. ($3.70). Who are you going with?

Embarrassing school stories, I could come up with a few, but most of them have lost their details in my memory. No, the only thing that sticks out in my mind with any significance is just how brain dead I acted on occasion in my crush toward Ranae Ward during my Sophomore and Junior year. Sheesh, did I have some real social progression to do over females in those days. I still can't convince my wife that I ever was ackward or foolish over a girl, so I guess I made some progress.

Dave: yeah the MRAPs are great, but they should have been deployed sooner. Most of my friends just shake their head over my loathing of politicians because of issues like this. I've had to many friends come home for close casket funerals. You folks want the REAL price of warfare and the price so many people pay. When many of us volunteer it is not just our lives we are putting on the line, it is the lives of our spouses and children we'll also destroy with our deaths. Watch a young wife scream herself hoarse over her husband's casket, which can't be open because the IED that killed him set his hummer ablazed and trapped him. You want to know what rage is, hear the screams of a dying man as he burns to death, and KNOW his wife will be shattered beyond recovery because of the loss. No, this world is dangerous and the wars are necessary, but those who forget the price some people pay need a firm beating.

Oh, and it's nice to be the communications troop, it's a wonder what you can do to get online when you are the one setting up all the communication networks.

15/07/08 12:13 PM #363

Beth Carter (Dawson)

I would like to know more details of Jennifer Greene falling off the bridge. I wasn't there, but remember it happening. That is hilarious.

Ashley, you were the head smurf collector. I remember Shelley would let me babysit some of hers during class, since I couldn't collect them.

Scott Robnett aka Superstar - you have to get Rhonda a shirt. That would be hilarious. Don't be shy about your romantic side.....you were always pulling the ladies in elementary school.

Who had Mrs. Brooks in third grade? Do you remember how terrible a teacher she was? She would lay on the table and take naps during class. We would go wild while she was sleeping. When she woke up, whoever was up or talking she would paddle our hands with a ruler.

15/07/08 12:17 PM #364

Beth Carter (Dawson)

Wesley
I bet you are a smooth cat with your wife. You worked out all the kinks on your crush with Ranae.

That was an eye opening reminder of how terrible war is. Thanks for helping us see it realistically. We have to keep praying to keep these guys safe and home with their families.

15/07/08 12:50 PM #365

Wesley Tower

I remember Ms Brooks, what a nightmare that class was. I got walloped so many times I lose count just trying to remember.

And Beth, I would not say I'm not that smooth. My wife loves to remind me that I had a short blond fetish in my early years that caused me so many headaches. In school years it was crushes, in college it was girlfriends that got me in more trouble than I could shake a stick at. Hell, I got three ribs broke over one gal in a bar brawl, that girl had one smart mouth on her. I learned my lesson and stopped looking at what females looked like and started listening to what they thought and said, so I ended up dating tall curve brunnettes and asian girls. Finally found the woman I needed in my second wife.

As for the war issue, I try not to gross people out but I get frustrated at how many Americans forget the responsibilities they hold as citizens. How we raise our children, how we vote, how we express our views, even how we spend our dollars has major impact on the world for better or good. That's what the whole "We the People' means in the Constitution preamble.

Bethany Lisko (Wood)

Hey ya'll, I talked to Forrest.....oooops, I mean Gator yesterday and gave him the website info so I hope we will be hearing from him soon. He is still as CRAZY as before. He has settled down and gotten married though, but I'll let him tell about all that. Eddie says to tell everyone he says "HI". We are still trying to get Scotty "B" and Stephen, aka-"Chicken" to get on here and fill out their profiles. I'm sure we'll hear some great stories out of those two. Everyone remembers Reinharts Duckclub??? I think Eddie blew the toilet up with a firecracker or something. There was also a Hurricane party.

WHOA!!! How in the world did I become an embarrasing moment?? Haha!!

Oh Wes we were GREAT buddies!! I always considered you a special friend of mine... We used to visit over the phone our 1st year of college then we lost contact!! I am glad to finally hear about ALL of your accomplishments!! NOT ONE SURPRISES ME!!! Your wife is a lucky woman!!

Ashley
I would have to sit here and think a REAL long time about the most embarrising moment. I think WE ALL had one every day. I remember having LOTS of fun! BUT........ do you remember riding around town on Sunday afternoons with our bannana rotary phones and putting the phone plug in our cig lighter and telling everyone we had "CAR PHONES"?
I think we thought everyone believed us! OH MY! Logan would think I was sooooooo stupid!

Beth
When I think back to Jennifer falling off the iron bridge... all I can remember is everyone arguing over who was going to get down in the "STINK" ditch to get her out. Who was the brave one that rescued her that night?

If I am NOT mistaken that is the same night Hannah, Jil, Ashley, Lori, Tiffany and I were riding around and Jil was sitting in the back seat while the rest of us were inside Jiffy J's. When we walked out QUAD was in the back seat w/ her. Jil told us she was locked in the car so she agreed that we would take him wherever he needed to go.....I think we stood around and thought about how to get her out???????? Amazingly we opened the door and told him to get out!!

I remember in middle school all of us having TONS of paint pens and the little clear acrylic boxes that you kept your paint pens in with your name painted all over it.

15/07/08 05:18 PM #370

Beth Carter (Dawson)

What about twist-a-beads (necklaces)?? Do you know that one of Samanthas friends that just graduated had some on and I said "Where did you get those?" she said they are my moms!!!! Looks like those are coming back in style!!

I think I had every color paint marker, and Beth I still do the dot letters also! How funny is that!!

Today was not fun. New Mexico is suppose to be in the high 90's and dry this time of the year. We are getting soaked like it was Monsoon season in Southeast Asia. That really screws with portable satellite and Line of sight antenna's. It's lots of fun running out in torrent rains to reset a satellite dish and get soaked, then work for the next three hours in 65 degree work environment.

Ranae: Well your always welcome to drop me a line or send along your address. I tend to do about half my longer communicatino by written letters.

This year we have 10 adults going with their 10 kids- all between the ages of 5 and 10. We are all staying in one beach house. Now someone tell me... does that sound like a vacation?!?! I have an idea... they can all go and I'll stay home with a big bottle of wine!! (Ha) Mama needs a vacation!!
