Ann Morgan (Prather)

Hi Everyone, I Know I drop in on a very sporatic basis...just so busy. Work has...Thank the Lord been sooo busy this month.(that mean's a big commission check) iPhone Launch in July, and back to school in August.

Food? I'm trying to loose weight Beth not gain another 200 lbs, syrup and sugar and what else was in that sweet potato recipe,(LOL) I'm with you Scott grilling is best. Salads are rapidly becoming my friend!!

Scott so true on the Hooters comment I got a big laugh out of that one...:)

Scott... I am absolutely no help on the pushing thing. Morgan doesn't have the time to do everything she would like to do. LOL! Morgan is pretty strong willed and smart so I just don't fight her on anything else, but if she's got talent(and Ashley says Abigail does) you gotta encourage that!! :)

Morgan started school..2nd Grade and wants me to walk her in every day.... sorry Scott :(, but I just can't EVERYday. She is getting into that Hannah Montana stage where her clothes have to be just so funky, and not little girly anymore, and it seems as though she is growing up way too fast. She broke her glasses and couln't wear them to school for 1st half of 1st week, she had a little boy-friend, he told her he didn't like her anymore, and got a new girl-friend, when she got to school Thursday with her glasses on. He told her he liked her better without the glasses. I told her she was gonna be a super model someday and he was gonna wish he hadn't said that!!! She says he wasn't that cute anyway and there is a boy in her Sunday school class that goes to school with her and he is much cuter. LOL :) She practically ran to Sunday school class on Sunday, she couldn't wait to get there. Today we went to the Doctor because she nearly passed out on the playground yesterday, he said if she keeps growing like she is she is gonna be 5'10", guess she WILL be a super model. Ha!

Ashley and Beth - I finally found the church for me here, The Lord really made it clear last week. We had a group from the TEEN Challenge in Pasgagoula MISS come in and one of the girls was from Fort Smith and had been in Teen Challenge for 8 mos (drug and Alcohol rehab) for young women, they teach them to build their lives around Christ and use his strength to kick their habits forever. It is a Christ focused program. Anyway I was so moved, I knew about 8 years ago that God's plan for me was to eventually work with women in need, abused or abusers, I believe that all I went through with my husband and all of my personal struggles as a single mom were to eventually bring glory to him through a Christian outreach to women in need. I have taken some pretty big steps and put myself between abusers and other women at times because I knew that the strength God gave me to deal with my experiences was for that very purpose. I know... pretty wild huh? I literally stopped in a parking lot one day and got out of my car and got between some military guy and a girlfriend he was jerking around and called the cops on him. He of course threatened me but I just got right back in his face and told him to shut up already, that if he touched me he would have a lot of time in jail to think about hitting women. He backed off of course, and left before the cops arrived. I also had to have my Ex arrested for assault while I was pregnant, I made a believer out of him he sat in jail for a week 'cause none of his so called friends would bail him out after they found out what he did. Anyway...the mother of the girl from Fort Smith and I met and talked after the service and she also has felt a calling for a program of the Teen Challenge type here in Fort Smith so we are gonna try to get an outreach/helping hand type of program going here. I know God is still nudging me that way after all this time. I just don't see how I will have the time, I know he will work it out though.. He's already got the plans laid out I just have to follow His lead. Thanks for your prayers, I believe I have found the right Church here finally.

Oh Beth... My Mom and I are sitting in the car Sunday afternoon and she starts reading an e-mail from my cousin to my grandmother and just blurts out that she(my Mom), by the way, has a large tumor in her Liver and one on her Thyroid and several on her para-thyroid, (thanks for and when were you planning to tell me MOM?>>> total shock and awe) and they are gonna have to Biopsy them to see if they are malignant. She also informs me that the weight problem I have been fighting and some of the symptoms of hormones issues I have are also the symptoms of "parathyroidism" and that I too should see an endocrinologist, to make sure that I don't have any tumors yet. Hello? when was she gonna tell me this, if my cousin had not found a tumor in her liver I might have never known. Moms oldest sister died of Liver cancer and she says she's known about the tumor for years but there was no concern until they found the others.

Lauren Hartz (Clark)

Ann-sent you a personal message, but you need to check in more often on the message forum! ha ha

Okay people- where is everyone? I have been reading, but not posting. I guess I am just as to blame.

Beth- It is a good thing I did not come to Memphis this past weekend. Our Golden Retriever had gotten out late Friday night and I did not realize it until Saturday night! She is like an old cat. If she does not come up and ask for something, you do not know she is even in the house. Well Jack and the girls left EARLY Saturday morning and Henry and I hung out all day, then went to dinner and Target that evening. I realized when I got home at 9pm that I had not let her out all day and I assumed she would be waiting at the door when I got in. NO DOG! I freaked! Jack and Grace drove home from Memphis! We looked all night and put up about 50 signs- no kidding. Well we did find her Sunday about 10am- thank goodness! I think Jack would have divorced me had we not found her!

I am getting a new Stuttgart neighbor soon- Chantel McCollum bought a house just a few houses down. We are excited to have her & Linley in the neighborhood!

Sharanda- I know you are proud of your son playing football. My little boy is only 3 and my husband can't wait! I just hope he WANTS to play! He is a big kid with a late birthday. We will probably hold him back a year (go to 4 year old class at 2 different schools) so he will be real big! ha ha

okay-we need to start a BIGGEST LOSER on this web site! I have got to get this weight off AGAIN! We have just about a year to do it- any suggestions or anybody intersted? I am in a funk- can you tell?

Got to get some work done- Piper (Bickerstaff) Jansen is my latest project and she needs to know how much money she has to spend!

David Chastain

Ann, looking at all of those places you have lived has given me lower back pain. I feel sorry for the movers. You have lived more places that a lot of career military pepole.

Lauren i'm glad you found the dog. My wife used to have a Shitzu ( I think that's how you spell it) and every time I opened our door that dang dog would run all over the neigborhood. Now we laugh about it beacuse I didn't like the dog but I would have to go chase it down for her. Half the time I was in my pajamas and she would watch out the kitchen window laughing at me trying to catch her stupid dog. Did Chantel just move to Little Rock or has she been there? I know her and my sister Tracy are friends but I haven't seen her in years.

Holt, have you heard from Nacho lately? I need to send him an email. Our internet hasn't been very reliable here lately. It has been very very hot here and i'm ready for it to cool down a little. I'm ready to see a rain. They say they didn't get a single good rain here in this part of Iraq last year but hopefully they will this winter. I'm tired of all this dust.

Lauren Hartz (Clark)

David-

I am not a dog person either but when we moved to LR the house I wanted could not be fenced in the back. I had to let the stinkin dog stay in the house. My entire family would KILL me if something happened to that dog on my watch! She freaks when it thunders and I guess Henry thought she needed to go to the bathroom and let her out. She bolted because of the thunder. Normally she would do her business and come back to the front door and wait for someone to let her in.

Chantel has been in Houston most recently. I do not remember where she was before that.

Hope you see rain soon!

Bethany Lisko (Wood)

Lauren and David

DO NOT get me started on dogs! We have 3. A 7 year old Rat Terrier/Red Heeler mix, a 3 year old Chocolate Lab, and a 10 month old English Mastiff that is now bigger than the other 2 and still getting bigger. She is Eddie's baby and she sleeps with us EVERY night. If the grandbaby ain't between us then the dog is. Thank God for king size beds. We also have 3 snakes. Two 6ft Boa Constrictors and a 4ft python. They are my son's snakes, but our 2 1/2 year old grandson LOVES 'em. Oh well, that's my animal story. How about anyone else?

27/08/08 03:30 PM #735

Sharanda Hobbs (Daniels)

Bethany- You have a ZOO!!! Remind me of the snakes, if I ask to visit. YIKES!!!

Lauren- I guess you can say I am a proud mom. We've already started the season somewhat with scrimmages. My oldest had a scrimmage in Shreveport last night. My other two boys had a scrimmage in Jacksonville where they were shooting. Scared the crap out of me.

27/08/08 08:17 PM #736

Tricia Orlicek (Brown)

Ann- I have a friend that went through Teen Challenge and she is a different creature. She now wants to open her own rehab facility that focuses on spiritual healing to help others. Amazing what God can do isn't it!. Glad to see you found a church family!

Scott- I found an article on Shawn Jones that tells about her daily routine. I thought it might be helpful with your concerns over Abigail. I could mail it to you if you would like? Let me know.

Robnett, just let the girl do her thing. When they excel you dont have to push them. I have 3 that excel in everything. I used to push my oldest one pretty hard, but now with 3 kids and all their activities I cant keep up with who is doing what. Chastain, I have not talked to Nacho in over a week. Hope it cools down over there for you. Yall were talking about pets, we dont have any. 3 kids and everyone elses kid at my house all the time is all I can take.

Ann Morgan (Prather)

Lauren - Surprise - I changed Dogs like I changed houses...H a ! I had a shi-tzu and she was the smartest, sweetest thing. She would get her bath, and when I got ready to dry her I would sit indian style in the floor and turn on the blow dryer and she would run and jump into my lap and put her face in the air. LOL!! I've had a pomerainian, a shi-tzu, 2 yorkies, a silky, and finally we have a mini daschund now. Some of the places I moved would not let me have dogs and so I would have to give them to a good home. and I'd get another when I could. The next one will be a Maltese.

David - Your soo right, sometimes it seems as though I don't ever unpack. I moved from Florida the last time from a 1900 sq ft house. What wouldn't fit in the 16 ft trailer went to friends, united way, etc. I just got tired of moving it all... clothes, dishes, furniture. I gave away aperfectly good couch when I moved here from Sheridan. Hey? Maybe that's why my back is soo bad!? Ha, Ha!

Tricia, all of the girls that came here from Teen Challenge had amazing testamonies also. It is amazing how people can go through drug rehab and they give them drugs to get them clean and they go out in the world and get right back on them. But, you can teach someone about the Lord, pray for and with them, Dry them out cold-turkey, teach them that the Lord cares and when they get out...they stay clean. Wonder???? No Drugs? Prayer! Walk with God! NO DRUGS!!!!!! Isn't that amazing! :) ONLY the Lords POWER can do that!!!:)

It's getting busy here, better go!!!

Hey everyone!

I have been gone for a few days and just checking in. Looks like everyone is having a good time!

Just a piece of information, don't let Hannah sit your pet....LOL I am joking Hannah!

I was talking to her the other night and she told me the story of the guinea pig's demise.

I am also glad to see some new people sign up! Way to go class of 89 on everyone's hard work.

Also they did change the format of the Memory Page. I went and added the photos that Tricia had of April. If someone has more, please email them to Lauren or I and we will be glad to add them.

28/08/08 02:53 PM #741

Jil Bailey (Amaden)

hannah -i am getting Bailey and her friend some tickets for the all star gymnastics thing at alltel, but i wanted to make sure before i went on there, that you did not get any extra that i could buy from you and we could be sitting with ya'll.

jason- yea, Jason, Brent and i were talkign about the jr high team last night, saying that if Dalton were back, they would REALLY rock, because Bo Weddle,Brent Weddle's son, and Bailey's boyfriend, (i guess. Now they say "we are going out" instead of how we said we are "going together") is soooo much like Dalton. He is awesome at EVERYTHING. He is a 7th grader and is STARTING for our 8 and 9th grade team this year. He and Dalton are just totally natural at sports, it's like they don't even have to try. THey would be dangerous together! I guess we will see ya'll atthe lake this weekend. Bailey cheers Friday night, but then we are going up Saturday i think.

Ann- Thank you so much for asking about our friends. They are of course still having a rough time with school starting and everything, but they have a lot of friends supporting them, and caring for them.

30/08/08 11:12 AM #742

Hannah Hancock (Maier)

Jil~ I don't have any extra tickets. Do you still have Jon's number I gave Scott on the forum? If you call him he will try to get you next to all of us. Call me if you can't find his number 870-830-3601. I was just in Carlisle yesterday @ Jeanette's getting my hair cut. I love her new place "The Big Teeze". Angie Claire is so Beautiful. You need to see if Lori wants to go also to the gymnastic deal. It will be so much fun!!

David~ I hope it cools off for ya'll soon. Michael is not looking forward to the Hurricaine coming our way (b/c of farming) The motels here are booked up with all the LA people headed our way. I feel sorry for them.

So Kendall Hill (Kirk's nephew) and Cache had the AIR HORN going this morning waking up everyone in the neighborhood. I don't think I have yelled @ them like I did this morning. BOYS WILL BE BOYS!!! They thought it so funny!

Let me share my pet stories: I told ya'll that our yellow lab got ran over on July 26 while Cache was @ camp, well on Aug. 21st I cleaned out the Guinea Pig cage and then bathed it. After I got "RODNEY" all dry I decided that I would let him enjoy the outside weather. I put his cage on the table and put the umbrella up between 11 & 11:30. Well @ 4:45 I thought I need to bring him in before I go to the Ricebird Kickoff. OK He wasn't moving>>> I called the vet and off I went. He gave Rodney 2 shots and told me to get him in a cold bath. I rushed home did that then went to see my kids @ kickoff. When we got home @ 7 he had past away. That's 2 animals in less than a month. Cache was upset. Why does it happen to just him? We found a shoebox and we dug a hole and had a pet funeral. You probably don't want me to pet sit! Ranae told me later that the vet just gave him a shot so he would die in my lap. It was a heat stroke. Guineas don't sweat.

Hannah Hancock (Maier)

I just went to look at the missing classmate names and we have about 79 more classmates to find! I have ran into some of them and gave them the website. We need to try to get them on here. Has anyone talked with Nancy Papan? I gave her e-mail address out , but noticed she's still on the missing list. I would love it if we could at least find everyone before October. Let's all get to work!!

Don't forget to take the surveys on the site! We only have 14 months til our "20" year reunion!!

HAVE A SAFE & GREAT LABOR DAY WEEKEND!!!

01/09/08 11:58 AM #745

Robert Rawls

What's shakin folks. Been a long time indeed. It is good to see that everyone is doing good and dealing with the same issues that I do. Scott J. turned me onto the website so I uploaded my info and pics and the idea of a twenty year reunion sounds interesting. I doubt I will be able to post much, this is my families busy time of the year. We run a corn maze, schaeferscornmaze.com , on the weekends and the school kids come out during the week so I will be locked into that for a while. I have numerous old photos that I will attempt to scan and get uploaded...some will make you laugh ..very hard. Thanks to the motivated folks who started this up. It is a grand idea.

01/09/08 09:22 PM #746

Beth Carter (Dawson)

Hey Everybody
We just got back from Stuttgart. We made a quick trip down for my kids to see Grandy and Gram-momma. I swear, they would rather go there than ANYWHERE else in the world. I kind of like hanging out there myself. We went to the country club pool today...I don't remember the last time I was there, but I could not believe how big that pool is!! It was huge....it also felt very dirty to me. I don't know why I am sharing this with you, but i have just missed being on here and just wanted you guys to know what is going on in my very exciting life.

Robert Rawls...I am so glad you are on here. Reading your post just made me laugh. I can just hear your voice as I read it. You are so funny....I have missed your funnyness...is that a word?

Tomorrow both my kids will be in school. This is the first time in 6 years that I will not have someone with me. I am so excited. A new chapter is starting in my life....what will I do with all my time?

What is everybody doing tonight? Hello, anybody out there?

01/09/08 09:34 PM #747

Lauren Hartz (Clark)

Beth- Henry is going to start school tomorrow also. He is so excited...and so am I! I will actually have to work while he is at school. He is only going two mornings a week until 11:30... baby steps for Jack. I am saying "send him every day until 3!" ha ha I love Henry dearly, but he is a hand full and I cannot get any work done. I told the director of the school that "Henry is nothing like Grace and that she was free to do whatever was necessary, just don't send him home!" I just got back from Acadamy Sports getting him some tennis shoes. He has hidden the ones he had and he has to wear tennis shoes to school. I had to get three different pair so that Jack could pick out the ones that he liked...

You will find plenty to do to fill your day I promise. You will wonder where the time went. It will be good for both of you I am sure.

Off to bed for me! Have a great day tomorrow!

02/09/08 08:06 AM #748

Beth Carter (Dawson)

Henry is cracking me up. He sounds funny. He and Ava would get along great. Ava can't wear crocs to school and that is ALL we have worn this summer. She is going to have a fit about it. I just got Jack off to school, now its time to wake her up and get her ready.
Oh yea...I need to clarify my statement from last night. I did have two days last year all to myself. I forgot that and my husband wanted me to be sure and clarify that.

Have a good day everybody. I miss y'all. We need to get a good conversation going.

02/09/08 10:22 AM #749

Lauren Hartz (Clark)

Beth- got Henry off this morning. Still not potty trained in his new shoes. When I took him in I told him that the rules (rules are usually a big deal to him) at school are that you have to use the big boy potty. His response was..."yeah, whatever mom". I swear I am going to kill the kid! (new pic on my profile)

Hope that you are enjoying your first day! How did Ava do with the Croc issue?

02/09/08 01:47 PM #750

Carolyn Tanksley (Wall)

Lauren~

Your new pic is absolutely so cute. He looks so innocent.

02/09/08 05:08 PM #751

Beth Carter (Dawson)

Well, unlike Henry, I am not a rule follower. I decided that her outfit really looked the cutest with her red Mary Jane crocs...so we wore crocs!! I am such a rebel aren't I?
I went and got her some new tennis shoes today that will look cute with her clothes. Roddy bought her some kind of pink and gray nike this summer that look terrible with everything and I've hidden them. I am teaching my daughter such good moral character. She knows that we can't wear crocs to school unless they are the best option for her outfit. haha. Just call me anytime you need good sound moral advice. My argument is that this is really the last year I have to dress her the way I want to...so I am doing it at all cost.

I'm going to post both kids first day of school pics. I know everyone of you are dying to see them.

BTW, Henry is the cutest little preschooler. I could eat him up.

03/09/08 07:12 PM #752
