Shelley, i am soooo sorry about your loss. It is hard not to worry about kids loosing parents, i just always have to pray, pray, and pray, and know that God will lead them, guide them, and see them through. Just keeping them SO involved in church, bible, and talking about it, not bottling anything in. I teach a character ed class at school, and the information on kids loosing parents, stresses how important it is to have adults and other friends to talk to and let it all out. And to talk to God as their friend. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Tracy- It's good to hear from you, even though your question seems a bit cynical? Not quite sure why you put that out there in that manner, but I would think that it goes back to me being a complete A$$ in high school and college. I am not proud of the way I lived, and pray daily that people forgive me for the way I treated them.

When you have a trying moment Tracy, who do you lean on? Your husband? Your best friend? I was so arrogant that I didn't think I needed anyone in my life to help me. As a man, we are big tough guys that can fix anything, right? I was put in my place one day in 2000, and my life has not been the same since. That being said, I became a Christian on September 5, 2000. God has blessed me beyond belief since. I have a family that I absolutely do not deserve. A wife that puts up with me, my travelling, and supports me 1,000 percent, and never complains. God has carried me through so many incredibly trying moments, and faith is the ONLY way I have endured. This walk that we are on, where does it end? This was a question that I never knew the answer to until that day.

I "found" religion when I accepted Jesus as my one and ONLY Lord and Savior. I pray that you and everyone else that don't know Him "find" Him too. If you or anyone else need help doing so, let me know.

Hey Everyone!

I will out for a few days so thought I would drop in and catch up.

Tracy and Mike lunch was great the other day! We will have to do it again.

Krystal~ All I can say is WOW! I am so excited. It was really great to see you the other night and I'm sure we will get all caught up in the next couple of months.

Hannah~ THANKS SO MUCH for letting me come over today and use your internet! Me without my computer...that is exactly why I never leave it at home. It is great to come to Stuttgart and just call someone up and they let you come into their home and use the internet. You are a life saver. If I didn't get that flight book right away, then I don't know when I would of gotten to come back home.

Hello Everyone! How's was your weekend? We got some exciting news on friday... DAYBREAK will be in Stuttgart for a RICEBIRD pep rally this friday morning!! The kids are so excited. Sharanda Hobbs Daniels told me that she wouldn't make it because it's @ 5AM. I was like WHAT??? So being that I never watch DAYBREAK because it's on from 5 to 7 I made a phone call to see if maybe the pep rally could be on Good Morning Arkansas!! ha ha That didn't work! So all you Ricebird fans we would LOVE for you to come join us from 5-7am this friday. We will be giving lots of prizes away.

Has anyone sone a study on "Treasures of the Transformed Life, Satisfying your soul's thirts for more, By: John Ed Mathison? Our church just started this study today and we are doing it in church as the sermons. Today's was really good! Just thought I'd share this with ya'll.

I need to go help paint signs for this friday. Talk to ya'll later on!!

Have a great week!!

I just finished reading "The Shack". I can't remember the author's name but you can find it at any christian book store I'm sure. I thought it was a very good read. It is all about relationship with the Trinity and forgiveness. Loved it and recommend it. I will warn you though it starts out on a very dark note.

Hey guy's I just wanted to give ya'll a little update on me. As you know i've been stationed at Al Asad Air Base in Iraq since March. I was diagnosed with a colon disease about 2 months ago. Anyhow, I was going to tuff it out and stay with my guys but I started bleeding and having severe pain. I was medevaced to Lundshtul Regional Medical Center in Germany. I talked to the doctor today and it looks like they will be sending me to either Walter Reed in Washington for further treatment or they may let me come home for treatment. Anyhow, I just thought I would let you guys know. I would like for you to pray for me for all of the soldiers that are here. Some of them are seriously wounded.

A very neat statement I heard the other day was spoken by the father of a warrior who died in combat.

Basically it says a veteran, or current member of the military wrote a check to uncle sam. The amoun? up to and including my life. Guys that is HONOR. Wether you beleive in this war or not that is honor. I am proud to have served my county in three different wars now.

David
I am so sorry to hear this (although, I am glad to know you are getting to come home). What is your prognosis? Did you get this disease while on duty?

I love that statement.....it is HONOR!!!! David, I honor you for serving our country and for your sacrifice and bravery. Thank you!!

I hope to hear from you soon and please keep us updated you.

I noticed things were a little tense on the forum the last few days. Everyone must remember that this is 20 years later. Most of us have changed since High School, except for me. Im still the same old Jason. I did have one life changing event that about put me in my grave but I survived and I am still here.

Tracy Thompson (Mitchell)

David- Sorry to hear about what you are going through. I know you were really proud to be out there serving your country. Keep us informed on how you are doing and we will all be praying for you.

Scott Robnett

David, sorry to hear about your problems. Let us know how everything is going. Just know that we pray every day for you guys. Unbelievable...that story. At times, I think about what it must be like over there for all of you guys. It brings it all into perspective, quick.

Holt, it's not getting tense in here. We are all changed in some capacity, right?

Jil and Hannah, we are taking Abigail to the gymnastics event as well. She is SOOO excited. Why don't we all try to have dinner before? Let me know!

Guys- I would like to ask for everyone's prayers for my mother. She is in the ER again, and is not doing real well. This is a recurring situation, and it is so hard on her. Thanks so much!

Robnett, we will keep your mom in our prayers. Call me tomorrow.

Been out of touch for a few days- got power back late last night. We lost it Sat night/Sun morning about 12:30!

David- Hope they can get things figured out for you back here in the states. That has got to be hard... to be in another country is hard enough and then to get sick! I just want my mother when I am sick! ha ha Glad you are headed back this way to get things taken care of. You are in our thougts. Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help.

Scott- Sorry to hear about your mom. You know we will keep you all in our thoughts. Let us know if we can do anything.

Please remember that there is an option to send anyone a personal message through individual profiles. Good, bad or ugly, the message forum is read by a lot of people, not just who you are referring to in your post. I know that other classes, relatives and parents all log on every now and then...

Hope you all have a great week- mine is looking better now that the lights are on and I can see it!

Scott~ Great idea~let's all get together and do lunch before the olympic gymnastic. I hate that about your mom. I pray for her daily. How are your sisters? I haven't seen them in a long time!

David ~ I'm sorry to hear that about you. Keep us updated and you are in my prayers. I hope you get to come home and have treatment here so you can be with your family.

Shelly~ How are you doing? How are the kids? Your family has been on my mind daily. I just don't understand how someone can do something like that.

Everyone~ If you haven't taken the survey PLEASE do so and we need to try to find the rest of our classmates and get them to create their profile!!

Have a great day and I will talk with ya'll later.

scott and hannah, would love to have lunch before the event. What time are we actually supposed to be there? is it 1:15?

16/09/08 10:36 AM #796

Hannah Hancock (Maier)

Jil~ My sister told me that we get to go in @ 1:15 for the group thing, but it doesn't actually start until 3. We need to go eat lunch around 11:30 I would think. Did you say Gray was going? Cache is wanting to go now and I told him that is was all girls going with us. ha ha

16/09/08 11:15 AM #797

Tracy Thompson (Mitchell)

Scott- Sorry about your mom. I will keep her in our prayers. If you are in LR sometime give me a call and we'll have lunch.

16/09/08 11:51 AM #798

Scott Robnett

Hannah and Jil, how do I get Abigail in on the group thing? Is it too late? Abigail would love that. Let me know when and where you guys want to eat. Chili's? Applebee's? With the cost of these tickets, I may be eating rice and beans for a while!

Thanks for all the prayers guys. She needs it.

16/09/08 12:38 PM #799

Hannah Hancock (Maier)

Scott~ We can just say that ya'll are in our group and go in with us @ 1:15. It does not matter where we eat. The way gas is we might be riding our bikes to Little Rock. LOL Saturday morning the gas station across the street started at $3.55 @ 8am the $3.79 @ 10 then $4.14 @ 2pm. 55 cents in 6 hours is CRAZY!!! It came down monday morning to $3.99. We are all going to be riding bikes if the prices don't go back down. My Expedition gets AWFUL gas mileage. Ask Abigail where she wants to eat. My kids won't care.

16/09/08 01:22 PM #800

Jil Bailey (Amaden)

I haven't told Gray, but i got one in case he wanted to go. Since it is men's gymnastics also, i figure he will want to watch. We will probably skip out on eating, i forgot how early it would be, and i teach Sunday School, we won't leave Carlisle until 12:00. If something changes, i will let you know. But we will for sure get with you before the back stage thing.

16/09/08 01:51 PM #801

Scott Robnett

Hannah, how about Chili's in NLR? Maybe meet there a little before 12? It will be me, Rhonda, Abigail, and 2 of my sisters. I will buy you guys lunch for hooking us up with this! Thanks a million!

16/09/08 04:59 PM #802

Hannah Hancock (Maier)

Scott~ Chili's it is. I can't wait! This is going to be lots of fun!

Jil~ I have a ticket just in case Cache wants to go. I was going to take him to the wrestling thing this past weekend, but I gave my tickets away. I was scared we would get in the storm and I didn't want to be on the road just Cache & I.
