Ah the season is beginning to turn here in Antarctica. Our days are no longer sunny and in the 30's. The ice breakers have come in to clear the route to the pier, and the summer season is slowly winding down. I'll be heading home in about 4 weeks.

Hello everyone- Flometta Hill posted this on the web site for the class of 88- thought it was funny and wanted to share....

Question kids ask............

A mother is driving a little girl to her friend's house for a play date.

Mommy,' the little girl asks, 'how old are you?

Honey, you are not supposed to ask a lady her age, the mother replied.

It's not polite.

OK, the little girl says, 'How much do you weigh?

Now really, the mother says, those are
personal questions and are really none of your
business.

Undaunted, the little girl asks, Why did you and Daddy get a divorce?'

That is enough questions, young lady, honestly!'
The exasperated mother walks away as the two friends begin to play.

My Mom won't tell me anything about her, the
little girl says to her friend.

Well, says the friend, all you need to do is
look at her drivers license. It is like a report card, it has everything on it.

Later that night the little girl says to her mother, I know how old you are, you are 32.

The mother is surprised and asks, How did you find
that out?

I also know that you weigh 140 pounds.

The mother is past surprised and shocked now.

How in heaven's name did you find that out?'

And, the little girl says triumphantly, I
know why you and daddy got a divorce.

Oh really? the mother asks. Why?

Because you got an F in sex

Hello to everyone!

Thanks to Lauren and Hannah for letting me participate in the forum...even though I didn't graduate from SHS I still feel like it's my school. :) I look forward to reading everyone's profiles to see what's going on! I just got married in October to the sweetest guy ever! We don't have any children but we hope to in the future. He loves going to Stuttgart and has many friends there who he hunts with. He is a former Arkansas State duck calling champ! Perfect guy for an Arkansas County girl. :)

I wanted to say the article about Ms Southall was so touching. I was able to see her many times in the nursing home before she passed away. My husband's father was in the same nursing home, and when I saw Ms. Southall there I had to reintroduce myself. We had many nice chats about when she taught school, and her days at SHS. She had a positive attitude as always, right until the end. She was such a sweet lady and a wonderful teacher.

I look forward to catching up with all of you! :)

Hello to everyone. It has been a while since I have posted a message. I hope that everyone is having a great start to the new year. I am glad to hear that the date has been set for the class reunion. I put in for my vacation request today. I am excited and have been talking about it quite a bit. I was able to see Greg Hughes this weekend while he was in Dallas and we talked about it. I also recently found out that I work in the same building as Amanda Taylor. I saw her for the first time today since our 10 yr reunion.

I am looking forward to catching up with everyone.
Take Care

Hello everyone. Hope everyone is doing well. I just read some posts trying to catch up on things. I havent been able to get on here alot. I have put my real estate license on inactive for awhile (Since the booming economy Im not gonna miss alot!) and I am going to stay at home with my kids. I dont know how this is gonna work. My 2 year old is more work than actually going to work. Im sure you all know how that is.

What is going on with Kerry Chastain. I hope everything is okay!

Cathy Stratton (Hildebrand)

Haven't looked on here in ages. I can fill you in on Kerry Kizzire (Chastain)... she is scheduled to leave for the Mayo clinic on Feb. 4. She said this is a blessing - very fortunate to get in. She's been having a pretty rough time - been diagnosed w/ Lupus, Graves disease, arthritis, heart disease, and hopefully will get her symptoms under control with help from the clinic. Kirk is her Dr. here, and she says he's been a tremendous help to her. Keep her in her prayers the next few wks. They told her to prepare to be away from home 2 wks, though she might not actually stay that long. Emaly(13) and Trevor(11) will be w/ Brad while she's gone.

Got the email from Lauren about unknown addresses. Trying to help out w/ a few of those I run into around Stuttgart.

Hannah Hancock (Maier)

Cathy~ Thanks for the update on Kerry. She has been in my prayers. I had just heard bits and pieces of her condition, but wasn't real sure about what all was wrong.

How's everyone doing today?

Teresa~ I can't tell you how many people I have asked about the tin foil box and if they knew about the sides. Well Michael's mother just learned also. She said she saw it on tv and she never knew before then. WOW I would have thought our mothers would have known about it. Oh well. LOL:)

I HOPE EVERYONE SUPERBOWL TEAM WINS TODAY!! DON'T EAT 2 MUCH WHILE WATCHING THE GAME.

GOT TO GET READY FOR CHURCH!!

Fred Blood (Blood)

Hello everyone,
It has been good to see some of you on Face Book. I am new to that site and trying to learn the ins and outs of it. If any of you were wondering why my last name was Bleed. I guess that the site must have mistaken my last name as a gang or something and would not take Blood. Anyway, we are now in February and each month we get closer to the big reunion.

02/02/09 05:32 PM #1021

Shelia Frye

Hello everyone!!! I hope everyone is doing well. I, like others, haven't logged on in months. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone for our 20 year reunion. WOW!!! :)

04/02/09 11:15 AM #1022

Hannah Hancock (Maier)

Fred~ I did wonder about why your name was Bleed on facebook. My son, Cache, and I were designing him some Nike Shocks on line and you can put your name on them and Nike ID would not take the name CACHE. I guess they thought it was a gang name or something so we ended up putting Cacheman.

Hope everyone is doing great today!! Do ya'll realize we only have 8 months!!

Otis Hogan

Hello Everyone!

Paulette and I are excited about our upcoming 20th Reunion! We will definitely be there - even though Paulette would have just given birth to our second child (this time a girl) two months prior. Yes, she is currently four months pregnant! Wow! Many of you are done having kids, and it looks like we are just getting started (Trenton - 3yrs old). Hmm.... maybe it's because we are younger and you guys are old and pushing 40!!!!! Just kidding ha ha..

05/02/09 04:18 PM #1024

Carolyn Tanksley (Wall)

Congrats Otis and Paulette!

David Chastain

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on here in awhile. I finally made it home for good this last week. It took me 4 1/2 months to make it from Fort Polk to here. I was supposed to be home a lot sooner. I can't believe that about John Shelton. I didn't even have any idea that he was sick. I will keep his family in my prayers.
