I moved to Walker County in 1977, quit Lafayette High after 4 months, (that school was a joke after CHS). Married in 1978, Natissa was born in 79, then, moved to West TN, when that marriage ended, was single until 92, married again and was married until 2005. Moved back to the great state of GA, and have been in Newnan since. Done lots of things, got my GED in 82, returned to school in 89 at then Walker Technical Institute.

I have lived in Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and South Georgia since leaving Chattooga County.

I am back in Chattooga County...who woulda thunk it? Looks like I will be here for a while. I am working at the Boys and Girls Club-Chattooga Unit. Also getting involved in some community volunteer stuff, as well as teaching Sunday School. I also am enjoying immensely making new friendships with my childhood classmates.

I have so much to be thankful for...one of them is the privilege of attending Chattooga County Schools.

Mrs Cash-1st grade-feeding my love of books, teaching me to enjoy learning, and appreciate education.

Pam ?Tawser?- 4-H-if there is any "Lady" in me, it came from her. She was my goal for womanhood. She gave me support thru so many times, when she was the only person I dared talk to about what I was going thru. She always made me feel I could be more, and achieve more.

Mrs. Johnson- Dee's Mom - another of those classic ladies. She seemed to be able to accomplish anything, and do it with grace and love, and a beauty that shined.

Mr. Toles - 9th-10th -he brought math out of the math book and into the real world. He "shocked" me in more ways than one...but gave me an inside look into how appliance and machines work in this world. I am still not afraid of electricity, but have a profound respect for it.

Mrs. Ransum- 8th grade- she loved the English Language, and literature. Her teaching style was carefree and flowing for the most part, letting me know that you can teach someone without browbeating them into learning it. Sometimes the softer voice, lighter hand, or little smile carries more weight with a child than yelling, smacking or a frown ever can.

Most of all God, for letting me have this blessing in the beginning, and then reopening the door that I thought I closed many years ago to friends, and acquaintances. I know that every encounter with each and everyone of you shaped and molded me into who I am today....and now I have the honor and opportunity to get to know you again, and once again call you friend.
