MARY E. MORALES

Our precious wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Mary E. Morales went to be in the arms of her heavenly Father on, Monday, May 9, 2011, from her home in Prosser.

Mary was born Oct. 14, 1952 in Sunnyside, the daughter of Jess and Lorraine (Yates) Anthony.

She received her education in Sunnyside, and graduated with the class of 1971. Following graduation she attended Central Washington University for several years.

On April 8, 1978 she married the love of her life, Luis Morales in Sunnyside. Mary and Lou made their home in Grandview.

She worked 32 years as a secretary and treasurer for Roza Irrigation in Sunnyside.

For the past 16 years, Mary and Lou have made Prosser their home. Mary's main focus and priorities were to her husband, two kids and daughter-in-law. They always came first and she would bend over backwards to meet their every need.

The three grandchildren were her pride and joy and she was so happy to be their nana.

Mary always had a positive attitude and found good in everyone. Her smile always sparkled and her laugh was contagious. She taught us how to love with our heart, be brave and what the true meaning of fighting and not to give up.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lou Morales of Prosser; one daughter, Jill Morales of Seattle; and one son, Anthony (Melissa) Morales of Portland, Ore.; three grandchildren, Brody, Ashlyn and Kameryn; one sister, Joanne Carney of Everett; one sister-in-law, Denise Anthony of Anchorage, Alaska; and by several nieces and nephews, Jacson and Jeremy Anthony and David and Diane Carney

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Jack Anthony.

Memorial funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Prosser.

Those wishing to honor Mary's memory may contribute to the Lower Valley Hospice.

Smith Funeral Home LTD and Crematory in Sunnyside is in charge of arrangements.

Mary E. Morales, 58, of Prosser died Monday. Mrs. Morales was born in Sunnyside and later made her home in Grandview. She worked for 32 years as a secretary and treasurer for Roza Irrigation in Sunnyside.

Survivors include her husband, Lou Morales of Prosser; a daughter, Jill Morales of Seattle; a son, Anthony Morales of Portland; a sister, Joanne Carney of Everett; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Prosser. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home.

We will miss you Mary and will always remember the good times we had together!  When I pass through heaven's gate, I know one of the first sounds I will hear is that unique and contagious laugh of yours.
