Andrew "Andy" Byma, 54, a long-time Outlook resident, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at his home following a short battle with cancer at his home.

He was born April 1, 1953, at Artesia, Calif., the son of Clarence and Leona (DeVries) Byma. He graduated from Sunnyside High School with the class of 1972.

He had been employed by Blue Line Manufacturing in Sunnyside.

On May 4, 1992, he married Sharon Poffenroth in Othello. Together they made their home in Outlook.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Outlook; his children, Emett Byma, Charity Stone and husband, Brian, Amanda Byma and Jordan Byma, all of Hermiston, Ore.; three grandchildren; his parents, Clarence and Leona Byma of Sunnyside; two brothers, Garrett Byma of Sunnyside and David Byma of California; and one sister, Augusta Lorensen of Arizona.
