I saw Randy's brother, Bill, at Doug's class reunion, I believe in 2004. I believe Bill said Randy had passed on a year or so before then. I don't remember the cause of his death, but it my recollection that it was sudden and unexpected. If anyone has information or the obituary, please forward or post it.
I don't know why, but I'd like to know the cause of death of our classmates. Randy was one of the brightest guys in our class. He got a Naval ROTC scholarship to the UW. The last time I saw him was somewhere around that time. It must have been in Sunnyside, or maybe he came to visit someone in Pullman. Anyway, I remember him telling me that he thought Vietnam was a bunch of crap and he really didn't like Navy ROTC and was going to bag his scholarship and quit the program. He was a good guy.
I checked the Washington State Digtal Site and the only Randy Snow they have on line is a Randy Snow Born February 28, 1953 and who died July 8, 1995. I will check the Social Security Death Index for more info. Does anyone know his birth date? I hope this helps and I will keep on looking.
I sat behind Randy for years (love those alphabetical seating charts!) I remember in 7th or 8th grade he had a "Frodo Lives" pin that he wore frequently. As a matter of fact, I think he's the person who got me started reading Tolkein. When I think about him being gone, I can't help picturing an empty desk in front of me.
