The two biggest things that have happened since the last reunion are that I got married and moved to Alaska. Bob's also a pilot and we spent a year or so in relative poverty working as flight instructors and I flew parachute jumpers for a bit. As we got really serious about our relationship and started making long-term plans, I realized that I loved to teach flying and wanted to continue to do that for fun, but that I preferred to work in the field I'd gotten my degree in: human resource management. I got a job with Seattle Public Schools' Personnel Department and Bob flew floatplanes for Lake Union Air. We got married at Fort Casey on Whidbey Island and got a black lab. He and my cat (who I've had since '87) remain our "children" for now. We bought a little house on a couple of acres in North Clark County right after we got married. Lived in a cabin on a creek outside Longview for several years and have spent the better part of the last five years in Juneau, Alaska. I've worked as the Public Information Officer for the City of Longview, a website designer, a conference planner, and the Tourism Coordinator for the City of Juneau. Bob just got a job with Executive Flight in Wenatchee (they have the Airlift Northwest contract so he's doing emergency medical transfers) and I'm ready to be near my family and somewhere drier that Juneau. Juneau is absolutely beautiful and we had a wonderful time living there, it seems I'm a born and bred Eastern Washington girl though. We're relocating as the reunion is occuring. I'm probably somewhere on the Cassiar Highway from Alaska as you read this. I sold that old yellow convertible when we moved to Alaska and I believe it's somewhere here in Washington. If anyone sees it, track it down because I just may need to see if they'll sell it back to me, now that I'm home!
