I would like to thank the Reunion Committee for a fabulous event, which, with the inspiration of Joe Valdez, prompted me to pen this poem:

1962 at 50 years

So fast,
Yet so slow
Is life's
Ebb and flow,
From 1958
To 1962:
What a time!
More--
A world-
That lingers
From our youth
In our dreamy eyes
And wistful hearts.

There,
Live the memories
Of Sunnyvale High--
Hard and fun,
With work and play,
Etched like lines
In our old wooden desks;
So rough when new,
But
So pleasant to touch,
In auld lang syne.
