In Memory

Barbara Ellen Messall (Castro)

It is with deep regret and sorrow that we inform everyone of Barbara’s passing. Barb was diagnosed with Leukemia in January and although she was confident she would beat it since she’s done it before, the cancer was just too aggressive. She never gave up, she faught the whole way, like she loved to tell the nurses, “I’m Irish and I’m stubborn” but on March 12th, her fight ended. Please take comfort in knowing she passed peacefully, pain free, and surrounded by nothing but love from her family. She will be forever remembered by her baby brother Tom, as she loved to say, and his family, her two daughters Krista and Jenn as well as her 7 grandchildren and all their friends who loved her and also called her Nana. She will also be remembered by all her friends she’s made over the years from Red Hat to the Rally’s and everyone in between. And we can never leave out our families beloved Camping Club where her daughters and her granddaughter Kasandra grew up in, they went from friends to family and she loved you all dearly. Thank you all for your support and love of Barb over the years, if you wish to help her family in anyway, please donate to Cancer research for Leukemia to help other families. She loved you all but now our Mothergoose has flown home.
