This one really hurt . Dick and I had been close in school, took separate directions in college and work but had gradually reconnected of late, largely due to his newfound passion for fly fishing, This brought him to Redding fairly often and we would do lunch together and just enjoy each other. He was an employee at SF airport and I had an important shipment arriving there (two live puppies) and he helped me navigate the complex there. We spent the night at his house, he didn't get upset when the pups peed on his floor, and we were looking forward to many happy reunions.
