Betsy Miller Cogar

I started working for the Bank of Gassaway right after graduation. I worked there for 11 years. I was working both there and at the Days Hotel Lounge in Flatwoods for about 2 years before I realized that banking was for the birds and bartender was my calling. I worked at Days Hotel until June 2002. I moved to New Jersey where I lived for 5 years. I worked as a real estate agent and also worked in a retail store. I started college up there, but never got a chance to finish. I moved back here to Braxton in July 2007. I got my old job back at Days Hotel managing the Lounge or as they like to call it now...Mad Annie's Tavern. I love my job! In my free time I like to travel. I have been all over the world. Some of my travels have taken me to Mexico, Amsterdam, Paris, Switzerland, Germany and Ireland. I also traveled to Beijing China in Nov. 2008. What an experience! I go to Florida quite often and still like to visit NYC about once a year. I don't do too bad working as a "bartender". LOL

I am still single and that's the way I like it. I don't want someone telling me what to do! I'm sure someone will come along one of these days, but I'm not holding my breath. I like being free to do whatever.
