After leaving Braxton County High School, I taught school in Gilmer County, WV. Next I went to Luray, VA to teach for a short time. The last 15 years I have been at North Duplin in NC employed as a Language Arts teacher.
One time a student, I will not name, constructed a pot pipe in Mr. R's Shop Class. He brought it to my Language Arts Class to show me what he had made. At first, I did not know what it was.
The student realized this, and proceeded to tell me that it was a pot pipe. Not knowing exactly how to respond to this, I simply said " well that is the nicest pot pipe I have ever seen."
