After highschool, I joined the National Guard and began attending college at TCC. After a year of both, I decided I wasn't ready for college, so I dropped out and stuck around the Tacoma area for about another year before switching from Guard to Active Army. I did my training and military at Ft. Leonardwood, MO and then headed off to Germany. After that, I switched to the Reserves, came home and delivered Dominick. After that, I just kinda bounced all over the country trying to find my place in life. In late 2005, my unit was activated and soon I was deployed to Iraq for a year. I met my husband Richard there and we got married when he returned from Iraq in December 2007. My husband and I continued to expand our family with the addition of our sons Brayton in 2008 and Chente-Joshua (C.J) in 2009. I have also gone back to college and will be graduating with an Associates Degree in Health Administration in early November and will continue on for my Bachelor's not long after graduation. I am not going to lie-I have traveled many tough roads since highschool, but I always managed to make the best of things and come out on top. My husband and I are getting ready to make our final transition from military life to civilian life. Soon we will be leaving Texas for Central Pennsylvania. Hopefully this will be our last move-cause quite frankly I am growing tired of unpacking boxes just to pack them back up again.
