Where else have you lived since high school & now?

I have not left the area... I lived in University Place, Tacoma and now have been in DuPont for 14yrs.

Did you go to different High School, GED, or?...

I was short two credits and graduated from Gates alternative school. If I could go back I would definitely have done that differently.

Your Personal Story:

After high school I was a grocery checker for about 5 years. I met my fabulous husband David we got married and I had my first daughter Marissa in 1994. I left the grocery business to stay home for a bit, and then started to work part time at the Bon Marche' and stayed there for three years and had my second daughter Kyra in 1997. I went back to school to be a Dental Assistant and did that for about 7 years. I went back to school again for Interior Design and that is what I currently do.

What’s your situation on the homefront? (e.g., Married, domestic partnered, divorced, widowed, shacked up, single, wild and crazy, let’s not go there, etc.)

I have been married for 20 years to my soul mate and best friend!

How many times have you been married?

Just once and plan to keep it that way :)

Do you have grandchildren? What are their names and ages?

Nope not yet.

Where have you traveled? What are your favorite trip memories? Upcoming destinations?

I have been very fortunate and have travelled extensively. I have been on three cruises and about to take a forth.
I have been to Belize, Honduras, Cozumel, Bahamas, Grand Caymans, Jamaica, Mexico and Canada. We are travelling to Puerto Rico, Grand Turk and St. Maarten Virgin Islands soon.

Have you ever met a famous person?

I met Linda Evans and Yhanni ( I think thats how you spell it??) I met David Brahmstead last year in Vegas.

Bates- Dental Assistant Certification
Pierce- General Studies
Clover Park Technical College- Associates- Interior Design

What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love the outdoors, camping and hiking. I still love to dance :) I love to spend time with my hubby and kids we love to take road trips and travel together.

What are your favorite memories about WHS?

Fridays :) I really liked Track and Young Life I remember was really fun :)

What did you dislike the most about high school?

Mean people...

Did you have a secret crush in high school?

I had a lot of crushes none that were secret I think... None that liked me back... LOL!!

What is the biggest thing you would do differently if you went back to your time at WHS?

Believe that I could go to college and become anything that I wanted. Pay attention to things that were important and not the silly things...

What would you like to tell your high school self now that you’re older and wiser?

Pay attention, get to school on time, try new things.

Are you still surprised you got away with something back then?

Writing my own notes for being absent after skipping.

What do you think we had in common with today’s teenagers? What was different, better and worse?

I think there are always really mean kids, thank goodness we did not have Facebook, Twitter or Snapshot!!! It seems kids are more into what they would like to become and start preparing earlier, I think that is good. I think a higher percentage really cares about their GPA more.

What are your favorite 80s fashion & hairstyle memories?

Well I remember my wall of hair... yikes... I was the aquanet queen. Blue eye shadow, and ripped acid washed jeans with a pair of keds... I still love keds and yes they are red :)

Favorite 80s TV shows and movies?

Pretty in Pink is still my all time favorite. I loved MTV it was on all the time.

Favorite 80s music?

Prince, I still love Prince!!

What is a political or world event that stands out in your mind from the 80s? How did it affect your view of the world?

When HIV came out to the public, how scared everyone was.

Do you think you're more conservative or liberal than you were in high school? Are you surprised?

I think I am both. I thought I would never really be conservative, but I am.

What would we be surprised to learn about you?

I really love History and am obessed with the History and Discovery channel. I think I am really kind of a nerd.

What do you hope to accomplish in the next 10 years

I would like to have some design work published, that would be really cool.
