Tonya Boyd Short

After graduation, I went to Southern Union and then met and married the love of my life, Eric Short, and moved away to Georgia with him (16 years ago!!). I was an optician for 7 years before becoming a full time mom. We had 2 sweet little boys before moving to sunny Sarasota Florida in 2001. When the boys started school, I worked part time in the fitness industry as a spinning instructor and personal trainer until we had our beautiful daughter in December 2006. We decided it was time to be closer to family, so we moved to Auburn last year. The southern culture has been quite a shock to my boys but they have adapted nicely. I can't wait to see everyone! I can't believe it has been 20 years already!

I can remember a lot of fun times although I may have blocked out a few things.....Painting the dam was so much fun even though I was way too chicken to climb up. I would kill my kids if I ever caught them doing something like that! I loved journalism! It was the highlight of my entire time in high school.
