Patti Greene Lane

I married David Lane in August, 1959 (This year, 2009, would have been our big Five-O Anniversary!)

I graduated from University of Tampa in Feb., 1963.

I lived mostly in Tampa, but did live in Memphis, TN for 4 years, and US Army tours stationed us in Baltimore, MD, and Ft. Leavenworth, KS.

I taught English, journalism, and drama in public high schools for a total of 28 years. However, I did leave teaching for 5 years to work as a programmer/systems analyst for (then) Burroughs Computer Corporation, working on main frame systems-- in the days before PCs and internet. I loved the work, but the travel was too much when I still had a daughter at home. So, I went back to teaching in public school until I retired the first time.
I joined the faculty of Tampa Preparatory School in 2001. While there, I attended summer seminars at both Cambridge and Oxford Universities in England. I retired (again) after 7 years at Tampa Prep, but I still substitute teach there.
