Many of you may have known her if at all as a very beautiful and tall blue eyed beauty she was into sports in school and as I could see in her yearbook she had many friends. Our mother was a mother first before anything even worl she birthed both granchildren into this world being right by her childs side throuhout labor both times. Many don't know but she also completed college with a masters in computer science and a grade point average of 4.0 while the whole time raising a daughter all on her own. In 1991 Juanita gave birth to a son Michael Jones whom she called her lil man Michael was 17 and the time of her death and was the one to discover her body in their home where they lived. No one would have known how depressed Juanita had came to be in the year and present before her death. Our mother was in distress over loosing her home along with the rest of America she just took it in the wrong way and decided she could not live with the thought of being a failure in the words she put it in but our mother was far from a failure she was a hero and an over achiever she did so much to get where she was at in life with no help from anyone not family not friends I mean no one she survived being a single mother for over 30 years I am more than sure if she would have thought it threw she would have surrvived this also. She just gave up and thats something no one would have ever thought she would do I guess life sometimes gets the best of you in many ways I use to tell my mom that it was just a house and as long as she was here nothing else mattered but she saw it different I guess. The morning of October 15 2008 was one of the worst days of our lives we did not only loose a mother we lost our best friend I will never forget the way she not only made me feel but the way she made others feel she had the personality to light up a dark room she never once thought of herself always of others and when she needed somone no one was there for her. Not a day goes by that she is not thought of as my brother my kids and myself her daughter all live in the house that she struggeled to keep. Her home is our home and we will cherish ever moment we had in it with her as it was the place we all grew up and she passed in Mom we love you and miss you so much you were never a failure and always a go getter. I look forward to the day when we will all be together again!!

She was obviously very loved by all of you. She must’ve been a wonderful mother. I wish I had known her.

Although I was not friends with your mother I did know her face from the halls of CHS. I am very saddened for you, your post was very beautiful. We are having our 40th reunion this year and I wish she could have attended. I am sorry for your loss.

I knew Juanita. She was a very sweet person. I think I was in CBE class with her but I'm not sure. I am SO very sorry that your mom took her life. What an incredibly sad story and I'm sure that you all are sad everyday that she didn't reach out for help. Truly sorry for you all for your loss.
