Julie, I am certain there was mucho eye-rolling going on back then. But...my son's 9th birthday is tomorrow and as in year's past I will blah blah blah one of the forgotten lines from this famous song. Any chance you can supply the missing link by my other son's next-up birthday on April 4th?

Hi guys

Not to change the subject, but was just thinking, HOW ON EARTH did we make it home from good ole 42nd Street after those wonderful nights of Sink or Swim??
Especially since some of us lived as far away as NC, Georgia, VA (well according to our ID's, we did) !!

Trudy:

Don't know if I'm correct, but I sing it this way:

Today is the birthday
I wonder for whom.
I know it's for someone who's right in this room.
So look all around for somebody whooooo...
is smiling and happy,
MY GOODNESS IT'S YOU!!

Okay, I'm cracking myself up now!

If any of you have read Joe's NPR stories (if you haven't you need to), you can now go on my profile and see proof that he did indeed accompany Carol and me to Gradnite (must have been pre-teacup ride, since you can't see the huge drool mark on my right shoulder!)

Oops. Left out a word.

So look all around YOU for somebody whoooo...

Thanks, Julie. I know the first part. It's the second part. I'm having trouble with.

ANd I sang it this morning to my 9 year old who rolled his eyes and shook his head the whole time.

I don't remember there being a second part. To the same song? The 30 years are starting to show on me! :)

Wow I don't believe it has been 30 years, but then compare to the age of the Universe it's a very very short time gang. So don't panic lol

Greetings to all! I just found this website a few days ago, and am hoping I'll be able to make it to the reunion. I missed the ones that came before, but I have a feeling I shouldn't miss this one. I'm not sure if any of you remember me since I was a transplant to Chamberlain (as a sophomore) after my dad retired from the Navy. I always envied you guys for having all that history together. I too remember Mrs. Yanes and how much of an interest she took in all of us. Judy, I remember the good band times too...especially the trip to D.C. for the Cherry Blossom Festival and the trip to Daytona to play in the band shell. All those hours of practice paid off when I made it to the USCGA Drum and Bugle Corps. Ahhh.....the good old days. I hope some of you remember me and say hello. Glad I found this site.

Hey John, I remember you from band certainly. I really enjoyed those band trips and heck, even the away games were usually fun.

I really hope that I can make it down for the reunion. BTW, just how to you get an invite to one of the pre-reunion events? LOL The Atlanta one would have been neat to attend, and might just give me that push to finally make the commitment. :)

Drew, if you coordinated it and if you want to do another. I have plenty of space up here in Marietta, and would be glad to offer up the space at the house. I'm surprised at how many of us ended up nearby Atlanta.

Okay, I should get back to work. Enough time remembering when for one day.

Anthony,
I had nothing to do with mailboxes while I was in high school. I have nothing but the deepest respect for the fine men and women who deliver our mail and I would never impede upon their appointed rounds by taking a baseball bat, and CRUSHING a mailbox in two (oh, seems like it was just yesterday).

Alan, yes, I remmeber you as well. Can't tell you how many times I thought about how Mr. Price beat perfection into us. I had the opportunity to do a band alumni get- together a few years ago where we sat in the stands and played as a group. Couldn't help but think that the cohesion was missing from the student band and nothing seemed to be as crisp. The good drum cadences we had were not in evidence. That's progress I guess. Glad you are well, and thanks for saying hi.

That Alma Mater page is priceless. I love the photo of Mr Price and the fact that we were all kids when that was written and yet...it carries on due to this documentation and all of us recalling. This is so important for history sake to pass this info on. Thanks to all who have done the work to make this reunion, photos, stories retold and contacts re-established. I just cannot still grasp how many yrs have gone by since we graduated, until I see all this history. This is so fun. See you soon...if we can recognize each other now. I have a feeling we have shopped, attending games and other events side-by-side and didn't know why someone looked familiar to me.

Does anyone know what happened to Mrs. Muroff?

Just wanted to say hello to all my classmates. Me and my husband are going to try to make it to the reunion.
Tony you did a great job on this web site.

Man reading the stuff we did back in High school and thinking some of us are still here it is a miracle...
I can remember after the Friday night football games either going to the Burger King on Florida Ave or if you had a ride going over to the Steak and Shake on Fowler Ave by the University. Just remembering is making me feel older guys.
If at all possible and can get back into town early enough how about a swim and ski party.
One problem is I have two very noisey dogs, they are (all bark no bite) one will love you to pieces and the other will bark at you till he knows you are not going to hurt me. Thinking the first weekend in June, let know what you think guys.

Yeah thanks Tony for this website and the reunion (even though I hate to say that I won't make it. I am in La La Land Northern California)

this website is very neato. I am able to reconnect with quite many classmates (and strangemates too who I did not meet in HS). To name a few: Richard Griffin (I don't believe that is you brother!!!!), Chuck Prather, Gregory Williams (I met these two during my professional career as bag boy in Kash 'n Karry '77 to '80), etc..... . To make up for lost time, I try to reach out to say howdy to as many classmates as I can. Awesome website. :)

Hey we are down to 2 months until this reunion and we are still missing some important friends. We've got to get those we know to fill out their profiles at least, even if they cannot come to the reunion. I know Mike A. and Matt B. if I can get them to fill out the profile.
One is living and working in the Tampa area and the other was in Boca Raton for yrs and I have his parents address and phone I guess I gotta call them and give him this website. Let's try to get these friends if we can, k?

Wow! I remember the 10 year reunion... but just barely.

I do remember dancing on the tables in the Don CeSar so it must have been a good time. Hope I wasn't drooling or anything.

Kind bummed I missed the 20 year. I'm sure that would have been a good time as well.

Well... I won't miss this one!

VERY kool site Tony and thanks to all the "posters." I'm dreging up memories that seem familiar, yet so far away and I like it.

Cruzing this site is great and I'm suprized to see that some of these faces still resemble someone I might know. I probably wouldn't know hardly anyone here but just a few on the street. Hurray for these memory triggers!

Ready to party wit me ol homies. Should I bring my tux?

I need a head count here...If I bring Boones Farm Strawberry Hill wine (the good stuff, still under $3 a bottle) and MD 2020 to the reunion, who will be brave enough to drink it with me??? I need enough time to search Walmart for it, so let me know.

Count me in for a bottle. Back then, anything goes. Today.. it would depend on the Boones Farm vintage.

I saw John Martin get ralphalious sick on Boones once. I believe it was Tickle Pink or Strawberry Fizz or something like that. It suited him.

Actually, our poison of choice was Ol Granpappy (Old Grandad.) Old man impression--"Hey sonny, know where I can get some booty?" Even that is a little low brow for me these days.

Drink will be certainly be partaken, and I'll race you to the bar.

Terri Patino (Arcuri)

Race me to the bar eh? We'll just see about that. I used to swim more often that I sank when drinking. Sounds like a challange...
I'll swing by Walmart and see exactly what vintage selections that have on the Boones Farm. I've never heard of the other drink that you seem fond of...might have to try that (unless it's whiskey, hate that stuff)

Mark and Terri racing to the bar...I'll bring the camera!!
